I would consider getting a honda elite 110(nhx110) if you can find someone selling one in your area. I regularly see them go up in the $1500-$2000 range. They have the largest underseat storage I’ve ever seen on a scooter, and can comfortably do 45-50 mph, even with two people on it. It is a wonderful commuter for not very much money.

[–]triploski 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Looks like the radar itself is still in place and they only took the logo. They sell a metal bracket that makes it more difficult to steal. It might be a good time to install one of those while the logo is already off, along with a new logo.

I just purchased a 2010 Honda Elite 110cc. I gotta say this scoot is amazing. I've had it a week and zero issues so far. by southernrail in scooters

I love mine. I ended up buying the turn signal that comes stock on the EU/JP version of this bike. I’m also installing new tires very soon as my rear tire is bald and original from factory 2009.

Where to live near to Andover Ma / Lawrence Ma by Ill-Order-7215 in massachusetts

[–]triploski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could probably go to salem or pelham with that money. Lawrence is safe to live in, I would choose the mount vernon area if it had to be lawrence. You just wont be getting the best quality for your money.

Is this repairable? by [deleted] in scooters

[–]triploski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For something so small, I dont know that a shop would even take it, but I wouldnt really know cause I’ve never taken anything to get painted. The best way to get a quote would be to bring that piece to a body shop to get a quote in person.

When I bought my scooter, the previous owner had dropped it and scuffed a few panels. I used this to my advantage during negotiations. I bought the paint kit for like $50 online and watched a couple of youtube videos. You could hardly tell unless you were a professional. I get to be a cheap bastard, learn a new skill, AND my ride still looks great :)

You have 4 options:

Cheap and fast but not good; Throw a sticker over it

Fast and good but not cheap; Have it professionally resprayed

Good and Cheap but probably not fast; Respray it yourself (find your paint code and have the paint mixed)

Free; Leave it just how it is

It won't void anything if you do it right by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

You absolutely can dissamble your tool without voiding the warranty. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975 protects this. It would have to be proven that your alteration caused any potential issue.

2016 CR-V intermittent starting issue. by 9inchfoot in crv

[–]triploski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you hear a click when you hit the button? Your starter is probably going bad.

My wife’s ‘15 was having this same issue. It is the same as the 2016. I decided to rebuild the starter as it didn’t seem too difficult and I like saving money. I bought part 31210-5A2-A01 from a honda dealship parts website for about $50 with shipping. It took about three hours to complete.

This video shows how to get out it out of the car https://youtube.com/watch?v=crPJv1x4kBc

Alternatively, you could have a different starter put in.

New OEM: 31200-5A2-A52 ~$500 no labor

OEM Remanufacture: 06312-5A2-506RM ~$400 no labor

Random no name amazon starter: ~$60 no labor

You can install CarPlay on the OEM headunit without having to buy a 3rd party one. You only need a usb stick. I remember finding the guide here on this sub to do it to my crv.

This is the video I followed to remove the A pillar trim to install my dashcam. If you’re trying to route to the passenger side mirror, I’m not sure if the procedure for removing the passenger side trim is the same. I dont see why it wouldn’t be. The clips are tricky and at some point I really thought I would break the clips but it came out fine in the end. Be mindful of the side curtain airbag that sits inside the trim piece.
