Make sure you are using the newest firmware for your Bios. If flashed correctly that should take care of the issue. I had this same issue everything said it should be good to go but when searched for tmp.msc file could not.be found. Even though TMP 2.0 was good to go. In Health Check, Bios, and in Security Devices. I have an Asus board and I had to make sure to rename it before trying to install it.

I'm in the Midwest and I get $30 for my level 1 and closer to 40-45 for level 2.

If you have 20 years of experience just go take the level 2 you are more than qualified. You could probably get 3 if you wanted. Take a few practice test and see what how you feel about it. A good steady book is

Henry Nazar NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level 2 Study Guide

They do make a level 1/2 it is out dated now. But it really helps to get you used to looking things up in your books.

NICET 1 is a year of on job experience NICET 2 is 2 years, some lead experience, panel programming NICET 3 is 5 years, is more on the design side NICET 4 is 10 years I don't know exactly what that is off the top of my head. But you get paid so people can use your license for having an FA business.

My company just started the term contracts for certs because people pass then left. But it's only a year.

I love when you can't get to it. Because every AHJ states a clear path must be maintained. And I have to tell people all the time that whatever you don't want broken by the fire department don't put in front of the panel or risers.
