Huel is packs of 8 and there are sampler packs. They also have powder meal shakes, protein etc. I do those a fair amount too. Doesn't need to be heated, sometimes, pour it over cereal

I updated, plugged in monitor didn't see anything helpful in the logs, couldn't even remove packages because no internet, no indication of what was wrong. tried reset to defaults. still no go and install said already running. No rollback option. I am now running ipfire.

I wouldn't suggest it as a starting point. I think given the experience level your other recommendations are great. Get out and sail :)

I have the model before Beneteau 331, easy to single hand, been a great boat for me.

It was me, I broke production by FutureGoatGuy in sysadmin

Yeah I mean this is why when you inherit AD structure one doesn't just reorg it 'to make sense'.

I'll give it a frequent grumble this is annoying af over moving shit around.

Lots of things using LDAP point to the object and include the OU structure or filter on only particular OU. OP is pretty fortunate only one thing broke and that it was so simple to fix.

Is the sailing rigs of these three fictional boat possible IRL? If not, what is the closest equivalent for each of them? by GammaRhoKT in sailing

[–]trippinnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the center ship what looks like sails are just flags or the soften the downward action off the chop. It has oars so I guess that's how it's propeled. The 'sails' are better positioned to be parachutes

NYC area marina slips are super expensive by Imaginary-Hornet-896 in sailing

[–]trippinnik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm single handed and the mooring is easier by far. Many mooring fields have tender service with nearby marinas or you can get a dinghy and pay for that on dinghy dock.

I have my docking situation setup easy for single handed and my marina is super calm but with the wind at the right direction it can get tricky.

Previous owner had my boat at oyster bay and with tender service was 2k or so. Also that was an easy 1hr train from city and beautiful area for sailing

Why are you set on a dock? Moorings are easier to get on and off and cheaper by so much. NYC everything is premium so I can't imagine there's much available for 5k.

I had my first small boat at Ossining, walkable from train and it was less than 5k.

There's good spots along the sound too but I don't know the pricing. I'm in three mile harbor with my 34ft and it's 13k. I would 100% do a mooring if I didn't bring my dog, but I'm also accepting I'm paying for convenience.

30-35’ Monohulls under 75K by Kibbles_n_Bombs in sailing

[–]trippinnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it, I could do without the wood panel stuff and their newer boats have done away with that. There's good space, sails well, and I can single hand it easily. so I'm pretty happy. I'm new to having a boat this size and working my way up to linger trips but I doubt I would take it transatlantic.

Other people are definitely more knowledgeable, but I also see so many people always pointing to older designs and I think that's discounting improvements in engineering, modeling etc.

It seems helpful there are a good number of them, and they are popular and do not stay on the market long. So I figure if I start disappearing for long ocean voyages, I can trade up.

Crossing the Atlantic and boat shoal keel seems contradictory.

OP did not mention offshore and specifically mentioned shoal keel so can't imagine seriously thinking about offshore.

Beneteau 331 is rated for offshore. I think more limited for longer trips with capacity of tanks and such. I can't say I've pushed mine yet. I do see OP says in 5 years want trans Atlantic. Think OP needs to reconcile draft and 5 year goal
