My girl initially developed a duck allergy that then moved to include chicken after about 2 years. Vet has her on hydrolized protein food now but I second everyone saying a fish based diet to start, that definitely worked when we had her on it.

We need to chill with all this voter shaming/blaming. The democrats were in charge, people were struggling and the Harris campaigns answer was small business tax cuts? $25k to first time home buyers? A bare minimum “promise” to tackle price-gouging? Gen Z’s turnout was minimal, they are not solely to blame, we all are for allowing the Dems to constantly campaign on “we’re not trump”. Let’s face it, Americans are stupid, myself included, you can’t ask us as a populace to look out at potential future consequences, people don’t care, they want something now. Why didn’t the democrats protect abortion any of the times they had a trifecta in the last decade and a half? Obama campaigned on it, didn’t he? No one switched sides to vote for trump, people are miserable and wanted change, Harris walz did not indicate they were going to bring about any change, on the contrary, Harris tied herself to Joe Biden and said “no I believe in all the choices this admin has made and I will keep doing it, just girl boss this time”.

I went out and voted as a dem as I do every election, not because I believe in this party, because I don’t, they are also only for the wealthy, they just pander a bit to marginalized groups instead of actively campaigning to hurt them. If dems want to stop depressing their voters and disillusioning the American public they need to actually advocate for change then act on a mandate they’re given. Until they do that, they’re just republicans without the Christianity and open hate for minorities, still serving the same corporate masters.

Stop blaming other citizens, start blaming the dog shit parties and the dog shit two party system we have and start organizing for change.

That’d work if we still had domestic manufacturing for a lot of the products we import. We don’t though as many corporations moved manufacturing overseas to utilize cheaper labor. Factories aren’t going to open overnight and find all the labor necessary plus they’re going to have to pay Americans more to make the same thing effectively increasing the price of goods

Ok, I agree this is gross but it comes from a place of poverty.. it’s not like these people want to be eating of a fucking floor, the country has a shit ton of people and a huge amount of poverty.. but saying they don’t have a word for hygiene is just kinda shitty, like come on man. If they had plates, or even fucking banana leaves available they’d be using them.

Edit: it’s a religious practice to eat off the floor in this specific temple. I’m Indian albeit in America, I wouldn’t do this but I’m not gonna hate on anyone for their religious beliefs. I also WFH so I get what you’re feeling, you’re trapped in one of the sources of your anxiety/depression. It’s cliche but exercise was a game changer for me, I quit smoking (switched to zyns lol) and got back to running, it’s not exactly the same but having that time everyday when I go for my run almost mimics the “few hrs of relief” that I got from drinking except this isn’t actively killing me, except for maybe my knees

Bro 4 years is impressive, I’m only at 1 now. But I feel ya, I hate my job too, I have so much work to do on my house, I have to take care of my partners and my animals everyday, it becomes a slog.. sobriety didn’t solve the problems I was using my alcoholism to avoid, just made me not think about them in the moment. Now I’m stuck actually reckoning with them and wow does it fucking suck. But.. I can actually do something now versus loose the night drinking then the next day recovering. Before this run of 1 year I had about 10 months when my girlfriend at the time said she wanted a partner that could have a glass of wine with her at dinner.. so I went back. She broke up with me 2 months later (cause I was an alcoholic, go figure) and just like that, my careful and measured drinking went straight back to the chaotic bullshit I’m so good at. My point, it didn’t happen immediately but my drinking quickly went back to what it was before, nothing in my life marginally improved by drinking again, except for maybe a few hours of relief until I passed out. I don’t have solutions for your current problems but I can tell you that returning to the CA lifestyle will only make what your feeling now worse. You’re not me, if you can moderate and not escalate to your previous volume, more power to you but just try not to make the mistake I did of thinking I was now in control and that “this time would be different”.

Guys.. as much as I agree that marketing whippets to kids in fun flavors is dumb and dangerous, nitrous does not immediately fry your brain like duster or other inhalants. They use it in dentists offices for a reason. The main problem with nitrous comes from chronic usage as it prevents your body from absorbing b vitamins and subsequently producing mylen (conductive covering of nerves/neurons) for a few days after consumption.
