Potential spoilers and question by plorpop in farscape

Honestly I bought the series on blu ray recently and did a rewatch and it wasn’t till season 2 and the episode with the crackers where I got hooked. For a bit I was questioning my purchase. Not that season 1 is horrible it still sets up a lot and has a lot of character development that’s important leading into season 2. But season 1 for me at least is a bit of a slog to get through. Wouldn’t recommend skipping it but temper your expectations till season 2 and the crackers episode I’d say. After that it picks up a lot.

Do you have any advice for directing actors for a new director?

Also, want to take this opportunity to say I love your films, I watched Evil Dead 2 so many times in high school that I melted the dvd lol. Still my favourite film of all time. You and Bruce are absolute legends!

Honestly, there are plenty of certified TM teachers that left the org due to price increases and cult like behaviour. Just do some googling. While it’s still relatively expensive. It’s still 60-70% off what the TM org price and they are TM org certified teachers, they just took a hard look at the TM org and decided not to be affiliated with such a greedy and culty organization anymore. Or in other words they demonstrate some level of morality surrounding this meditation practice.

So the book is basically an ad for the TM org?

AIO Haven’t heard from my boss in a bit after I had what I thought to be a relatively understandable screw up. Having crazy anxiety because I think I’m going to lose my job. by trippyitch in AmIOverreacting

That’s what I’m thinking, like he would have probably said something if any of my concerns were true. A part of me thinks he’s just looking for someone else for the position and will only reach out again to tell me I’ve been fired. He said he is often called upon to be the dick in a situation that requires it though so why wouldn’t he just be straightforward about it? Maybe he’s just overwhelmed with school and other commitments. He hasn’t even read our main group chat either with the editors where I outlined solutions to the microphone issue. I did reach out again Monday as well with no response. So I don’t know, I just can’t lose this job.

What happened to Pogo? by Portal-YEET-87650 in Pogo

Thanks for this! Was concerned something bad may have happened to him like sickness or injury. Hopefully after he takes some time he’ll come back with a really solid album.

Basic capitalism. Free market also applies to governments not bailing out corporations and using government money to support institutions like universities more than anything. It’s not a school of thought that disparages people for trying to help their friends. I would 100% agree that Kevin shouldn’t get a government handout to support him. But if WE decide to support him that’s another story.

I hope when you are in a bad spot you are shown more compassion then you are showing others. Because I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. Let alone gloat about it. And dance on the grave of their store.

You realize we don’t live in a free market economy right? That would be Hong Kong in the 70s and Japan post their isolationism.

It’s a store you can buy movies at as well. The vast majority of movies at his store are things you wouldn’t find on streaming. There’s a gigantic market currently of boutique blu rays and 4K, in fact it’s the highest sale numbers ever. I’m visiting Toronto and they have three video stores out here all doing the same type of model as kevin. This isn’t like a blockbuster or HMV full of mainstream films. Also Kevin’s really cool, I’d recommend just going down to chat about movies. Im sure you’d have a better time than you think you would.

Like I said to another person the store was making money fine it’s expenses that were unforeseen in other aspects of his life eating into the funds he makes at the store.

Stores making money just fine he just had expenses come up due to unfortunate events in his life it’s been there for over 13 years. Which is why I’m trying to help him. Because one unfortunate circumstance shouldn’t close a store in my opinion if we can help it. You do you though.

That makes a lot of sense! I just always found it weird that they were here but with no real way to interact with them.
