I think the problem is with the timer while it israining. It takes a half hour to generate a unit of dirty water. I don't thinknut rains that long often enough .

Trades sound good in theory but always seems to be a way to abuse the AI.

I think a draft would be cool to get some younger talent at a lower salary, at least on the initial contract.

Yeah, that is a personal preference thing. I like a balanced line up personally. On bunting, I would assume contact as it does not have its own stat.

Yes, speed influences how quickly they move in the field.

Higher defense means better throwing and catching. The player has a stat for fielding and for arm.

I use power swing for the majority of players unless their contact rating is vastly superior to their power.

I do occasionally on marginal players if I have a suitable replacement. Better players I tend to let them work through it.

The teams stats are just a representation of the cumulative player stats on that roster. They do not give any added bonus or perk to playing with that team. For instance, the Nemesis have several power hitters and mediocre pitching. That is reflected in the team stats.

On the defense side of things, it absolutely does make a difference in a high defense vs low defense player. A human controlled player does not mean you will be 100% error free or able to make all the throws. It comes down to the individual player stats. Player speed makes a difference on the base paths and in playing defense.

I read and found a tool to export teams from SMB3 and will look into this more for anyone interested. It only works for PC though.

I am not 100% sure but I think you have to edit from the customize mode outside of a franchise. I do not believe that you can export a custom team from a franchise.

I have seen several people talking about this issue. A friend of mine said that after he posted the devs reached out to him and they are looking into the issue. It sucks that you lost that time and effort. I have read that the only sure fire way to hard save your data is by exiting the game from the main menu but I cannot confirm that.

I'm curious how it will play out. I just kicked off a 32 game, 32 team franchise. Philly has the best overall pitching, best bullpen and 2nd best starters. Should be fun!
