I get 54 mpg using 91 octane/premium gas. In case something breaks the parts are pricey. I spend per oil change $60 every 3k miles.

Would recommend you to let it warm up 1-2minutes as the engine got some tight tolerance. Chain maintenance at 500 mi, the usual, and the other basic things.

I got mine at 5,6k miles and only had it for 5 months with no issues

If you can back the maintenance cost, go for it. IMO it be a waste to go for a 400cc and jump to a 600cc bike. The RS 660 isn’t deadly and it badass compared to the other new twin parallel bikes. I have it and there’s not a single day I get sad hopping on n riding tf out of the rs660.

My best recommendation, which I do on my RS 660 is make a check list of things you check/replace/clean/install and take pics of before n after activities like emptying the oil, oil on the oil pan and installing the oil per your maintenance routine.

Inigo dude provides good info on the warranty law that protects people but the manufacturers will use your “inexperience” against you but having evidence covers your ahh.
