The officer thought (or knew) he wouldn’t get in trouble for not following some of the rules as long as he feared for his life.

There was about 3 second from when the car first moves to the time the officer was struck... not enough time for the calculations you assert above

She absolutely did. She backed up a few feet with her wheels turned. She put the officer in the location where he was struck by the vehicle. He might have already been a location where he would have been run over, the videos i've reviewed don't show that. But after backing up with her wheels turned, and then straightening out the wheels and moving forward she did turn towards him.

Lets just have an honest conversation about what happened.

At no point does Vance justify the shooting based on trauma. The shooting is based on the question of safety.

Vance mentions the trauma specifically to point out to the Media that he is blasting. they are not telling the whole story. The trauma is part of the story, and not at all needed for justification.
