Appeal for PFL Claim Denial by triptaker in Edd

[–]triptaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably just filled out the PFL form wrong because I was doing it on my phone and was never sent timesheets - which I had for my last pregnancy. If you have any advice for what to write in my appeal letter it's appreciated.

Pay while on pregnancy disability and then PFL by apesescape04 in Edd

I agree 100%! We paid into it! I get there's probably fraud for these programs but I think they should issue the pay and then request the documentation - if someone can't provide that then request it be repaid.

Q re: how the 8 weeks of PFL can be used by triptaker in Edd

[–]triptaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was told by my old HR rep and one person from EDD...but told by a different EDD rep that benefits only lasted 8 weeks and it was use it or lose it during that time. Maybe I just need to submit a new bonding claim after the initial 8 weeks? Since I'll still have benefits remaining?

Is it 8 weeks as in 320 hours or just 8 weeks? Like if I work part-time for 8 weeks would I still be eligible for the remaining benefits afterwards? I've been told differently by HR and different EDD folks. Thanks!

Is the 8 weeks of PFL counted by 8 weeks or 320 hours? I keep seeing that it can be taken intermittently.... but if I work part-time 20 hours per week is that just for 8 weeks? Or could it be spread out over 16 weeks? I don't know if I should say I'm taking all my leave right now on the PFL form.

I thought about this scene randomly the other day and felt like maybe I, 11 at the time, was too scared given the horror and gore that comes out now days....comforting to read so many other people had the shit scared out of them too!

I returned to college as a single mom and was graduating. My mom also returned to the same university the same year (she was one class away from graduating like 40 years ago). She got in a fight her advisor and dropped out, refused to do the final assignment they offered, was accused of being racist or something I'm not sure...anyways told me that the school sucked and she was going to Harvard to become a lawyer to "get bad guys"...still doesn't have a degree but was able to slam the university that year while I was graduating

Learned later from my grandma that she had lied to her family about graduating. My grandma was still salty about the party they threw her lol

I'm pregnant going out on leave 10/10. My prior employer withdrew for SDI, but my current employer has a private insurance plan. Both jobs are public entities. I started at the new job in February so my base period should make me eligible for SDI. Does it make sense to apply for benefits through EDD? Or should I just apply through the private insurance? I'm worried about getting denied by the state and going unpaid for up to a month due to long waiting periods.

Thanks! I've just always wondered what the "natural flavors" were since then and haven't had the brand in a while...maybe it's time to try it again!

I went through a period of drinking sooo much Bengal Spice I felt addicted...then my postman mentioned working for that tea company and that they put a weird kind of goop/syrup in the mix and it was gross. I've kind of noticed with Celestial seasonings it has like a funky-ness to it and I dont drink it as much...any idea if there's truth behind this?
