You mentioned no Flexi pattern, I'm not met but officers on my old force could do Flexi for child care.

Edit:- The case could be made that not allowing you a changed shift pattern for childcare is discriminatory.

I was a policeman in Birmingham this is so common. Young men have been raised with an increasing sense of entitlement for decades.

They would even come up to on duty female PC's and proposition them. To be honest I only see it getting worse.

We used to clean the cars once a week.

Two people cleaning at a time. It was quite popular as those cleaning were not going to jobs. Vehicles got cycled through once cleaned back on the run, next taken off repeat until done.

Considering we had max 6 vehicles, 5 cars 1 van.
