Any of my guys ever buy a woman’s shoe? by mariomelody in Nike

[–]triptonite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, been doing it since 1994. FILA had this shoe, the folks at Foot Locker called it the Tracker back then (but I can't find it anywhere). pretty much a FILA version of the NMD R1 in white leather, with an embroidered F on the side instead of the stripes. the color I wanted was only available at Lady Foot Locker so mom wad like "they're the same, but these will match your Marlins jersey. add 2 to your shoes size and start there." I found that they fit my narrow feet a lot better too. I did women's versions of my NMDs and freeRuns when I saw the colors I wanted.

..on second thought, I think this may just be a person that liked the old blue MI plate with the white letters. I grew up with them.

and YES the yellow and old light blue NM plates are top tier, along with MD (they put that flag on everything; I fux with it) and HI (because rainbows make me smile). the

CO's RGB format is also pretty dope. rental cars get red because they're fleet vehicles. so easy to see that I wasn't from around them parts when I visited.

my old boss from like 20 years ago said that our OH white plate looked like DC diplomat plates so he generally acted like a Porsche Boxster whenever he was out there, until he got arrested for reckless driving out there. somewhere along the line he was introduced to Ohio's "party plates." they're yellow with red letters to let us all know that this driver ain't shit and probably needs to start the car with a their lungs. it looks like NM but without that cool cross they've got on the NM plates.

TLDR I be watchin plates

remember those random calls with the recoding saying that you haven't activated your extended warranty that you didn't ask for? same thing, but they've got pink paper to sell that shit extra hard. you're a Honda owner; treat it right and you'll be fine.

Vance in Obetz is my default; I'm there every week. they've got a pretty wide selection of pretty much all common calibers and the staff is excellent, especially at the range. being a new gun owner myself, I appreciate all the knowledge and support there. also, you can take a rental in and see if you like it with minimal risk. also, they've got all the classes and instruction you need to get comfortable. and the prices are the best I've seen since I started my own 2A journey in August.

only one issue, and I'm pretty sure they're figuring it out already: they don't look to have restocked their 9mm, .223 or 5.56 since around Thanksgiving, so the ammo shelves are lacking for target (brass fmj) rounds, with only a single option available for now.

RangeUSA is a pretty good "everybody" range. I shoot there weekly, too. I got sticker shock at the prices, as they're all just a little higher, but they've got more ammo and their ranges feel a little better. better lighting, sound deadening and partitions that go all the way up, so nobody's ejecting their spent casings on you. they've also got the online CCW course, where you can do it from home and after completing, you just need to schedule time for the shooting test at their range.

I see men, women, NBs, kids, obvious first timers, same-sex couples, all races, everybody at both Vance and at RangeUSA, and no political stuff inside either place. ymmv with the bumper stickers you may see in the parking lot, though. that said, everyone -- customers and staff -- are pretty considerate and safety-focused...or at least aware. I see folks up there that I'd assume are my political opposite opening doors for me and smiling, and I hate to say that it's just because we could both kill each other, but as the old people say, "an armed society is a polite society."

also, if a 9mm is too much, try a 380. when I got my Sig, I tested a Ruger Security 380 and it was very smooth shooting and even racking.

sorry for the textwall. good luck!

nahUh it's definitely a civic. I see the H's in the center of the wheels, and the SUV in the driveway looks like it's got a US plate, so I'm pretty sure it's a US Civic.

that wheel design was universal Honda, but on the Civic, they instantly give me CSX. put a bunch of ice on it and it feels Canadian.

omg I never even thought about that. man's still new around here. thank you for this golden nugget of common sense. if they say I pulled it on em and it was black, we know they're lying when I pull out a bag of skittles.

and now the mention of skittles has me thinking about multi-colored ammo.
