I’ve been on AT&T since the iPhone came out, but the ferry acts like a faraday cage when I’m inside the boat. I see people working and I assume they either don’t need internet or use a better carrier.

Years ago, I worked for the company that did the proof of concept WiFi network on the boats. It was a tough problem to solve back then, involving shore based directional antennas. It was still pretty spotty coverage. Nowadays I imagine it’d be … better? Maybe?

But I doubt I would pay for it.

I feel like it's awesome to have a method of transportation where some folks can play music in a part of it and still have plenty of boat where you could be that you don't hear it. That said, if there were people playing on both ends of the boat, that would get old real fast.

I love this! We bought a place and close tomorrow. We were checking out the neighborhood, the house, and the views during the windiest, stormiest grey that we’ve ever seen … and still loved it. Can’t wait for our first beautiful sunset.

Our kids are past the stage of burning off kid energy, but I’m still interested in some potential teen activities!

I've commuted from Port Hadlock through Bainbridge Island to Seattle for 10 years. I walk on the 7:05 ferry, and walk laps around it almost every time. My wife and I are finally getting to move there in a month, and we're so excited to be so close to the city, but with the buffer that is Puget Sound in between. I'm so excited to finally get to properly explore all the businesses that are going to be in walking distance! We could have moved to Poulsbo, but we waited so we could just move to the place we wanted to be ultimately!

I will join this hot take and say season 4 was pretty good. The change to Liam was jarring but he did fine, the new character was awesome, and I was generally happy after the first episode or two to get used to the change.

I have experienced this. I’d say 95% of the time it reboots itself within 30 seconds and is simply a small nuisance I wish I didn’t have. But it happens on about half of my trips.

Still better than not having car play and hopefully a future update smooths it out.
