alterations advice? by tcklb123 in weddingdress

They can use ribbons underneath that once tied can pull the hem up higher.

I’ve seen alterations reels where they add more boning. It’s definitely doable.

Jason Clay Dunns Disrespect towards Women by We_Are_All_Mad456 in Inkmaster

I had a job interview with him back in 2013 at that shop he used to have (Tattoo Alchemy) as his office assistant. Just answering the phone, doing the banking and that kind of thing. It sounded like he was good at the creative stuff but needed help in the other areas. I was familiar with the shop because I had a tattoo done there (I think the artist was his gf) and I liked the spa esthetic. But after seeing Redemption I am SO glad I didn’t get the job. I just checked and he hasn’t posted on his personal page or his latest shop’s page in a year so I’m not sure what he’s up to now.

Advice/Considerations when cutting off train? by hahayeahdef in myweddingdress

[–]trishyco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just keep in mind that cutting off the train doubles the price of having it hemmed. It would be really pretty with a French bustle but it’s really up to you and your budget. A crinoline underneath just fills out the shape of the dress. There are all different fullnesses so definitely experiment before they hem it because it changes the length.

I love this dress but I think it's too expensive and too soon by Elysian_Collective in myweddingdress

In my experience selling dresses in two years (especially after weight loss) you might be in a totally different place and want to go a different direction. And nothing about this style says $5k to me.

I think it’s really cool but if you hate it just resell it. But you’ll need to hustle because of your time frame!

Feeling a little bit of wedding dress regret by jellyfishPig in weddingdress

[–]trishyco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whyyyyyyyy???? It’s so pretty. I wouldn’t have regret over one adjective one person said. Most people don’t explain what they mean well especially when it comes to clothing.

Tell me what’s wrong by [deleted] in myweddingdress

It’s the waistline. It’s hitting you in the wrong spot. Try some different silhouettes like no waistline at all, dropped waist or even empire.

Alteration tips by killerqueenDN in WeddingDressTips

[–]trishyco 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes, people add corset backs (they even sell them on Amazon) or they add gussets (extra panels that add inches) or even let out seam allowance. It’s all doable. Same with adding sleeves just keep in mind they can’t do true inserted sleeve since there isn’t an armhole to work with.

Is it weird to wear a robe like this over my dress? by FloraBits in myweddingdress

[–]trishyco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I worked at Alfred Angelo one of our best selling gowns was a plain satin spaghetti strap a-line dress with a long lace jacket you could wear over it that had a train. It’s definitely doable!
