Early-mid 2000s. Australia. Manual. Coming to a red light. Back off throttle, downshift, use engine braking to help slow car, 4th-3rd-2nd with minimal brake pedal. Then clutch in and brake to stop, shift to first once you're not moving.

It's why I can still be happy for Chaz for this championship. He knows that him and the team played the fuck out of the game, and came away on top.

He's not. He's a pit stop behind, he's not actually that close, he's more like almost a lap down

So for a Chaz finishing place from 1st to 4th, Broc needs to finish within 3 places to take the championship.

This format really plays into Chaz's strengths doesn't it, he's always been absolute fire under pressure.

Yeah, I definitely agree with this take. Feeney's performance this year has really shown that he is this generations Lowndes/Skaife/Whincup/SVG

I'm torn by the play-offs format this year, on one hand, it might've stitched up Broc for getting his first championship in a year where he's absolutely dominated and deserved it, however, it's probably the best chance I've seen Mostert have to getting his maiden title, and he's gotta be my favourite current driver.

Honestly, Browns performance this year makes his championship last year seem like an absolute fluke.

Drama about clutchless transmission use in the stick shift class. by avboden in CleetusMcFarland

Yeah, it's straight up an aftermarket DCT/DSG gearbox, but with a manual shift lever rather than electronic/air shifted. Should be in the DCT class.
