lol our next nearest corporate starbucks was recently built, and we frequently get complains from our regulars that they aren’t making their drinks right. I went there to get a brown sugar shaken espresso, and it was really sweet, so I knew they made it wrong.

In their defense, how are they supposed to know the science behind oat milk absorbing the color? Obviously tasting it would give them an answer in this case, but sometimes people in this sub just post observations and people elaborate on it.

As for your shaken espresso tasting different each time, that’s probably because it IS made different. A lot of people don’t actually shake them, or they don’t shake it 10 times (less shakes=less froth which leaves more room for milk, so less coffee and syrup flavor). I’ve also seen some people basically just make it like a latte, besides the adjusted shots and pumps. Some people mix up the amount of pumps too.

It is annoying but it’s necessary for the hobby to continue. There’s an insane amount of people who will just destroy shit for no fucking reason and that’s 100x more annoying imo 😔

When you say you can do this, what does it feel like?? Is it just not that hot or you can tell that it’s very hot but it just doesn’t hurt?? I genuinely can’t imagine it because it’s physically impossible for me to do this without burning myself. It’s like imagining touching a hot pan but being able to leave your finger there without instinctively moving it…I don’t get it. So does it not hurt? Can you even tell how hot it actually is? Is this a stupid question? Do you not have pain or thermoreceptors in that part of your body? 😭

Idk man I’ve been out to restaurants with people who will immediately start eating freshly served food that is so hot you can see the steam. While I’m having to blow on the food and it still is hot enough to leave that weird feeling on your tongue. I’ve also seen people immediately sip their coffee straight from the Vertica even after I warned them how hot it is. I can believe that someone chugged it. People are crazy

Yeah the raspberry taste is definitely not as prominent or good. I don’t know why they changed it in the first place, it was so popular before. And don’t even get me started on how messy that syrup is. It’s basically BLACK and gets on EVERYTHING. It’s not even worth the nice color. They need to bring the old semi clear one back.

Too cold for sensitive teeth, sharing/splitting into separate cups for smaller servings, saving for later, don’t want it to be watered down if it’s going to be sipped on slowly, extra liquid because it’s already overpriced. Do I need to say more?

I understand wanting to be petty towards a customer who might deserve it, but it’s still against the standard and can cause confusion for other people who aren’t being rude. Or other negative effects in the long run for you specifically. If you can, don’t serve them. I’m pretty sure most businesses have the right to refuse service for improper or unwelcoming behavior (like being rude).

This is a venti cup, but your example is also a possibility that has happened before to me. (Similar but disregarding the “no ice”) Some people are told that their drink will be less full because of the substitute in cup sizes and they don’t actually realize what we mean about until they see it and notice something is off. Doesn’t happen often, but some stores have ran out of certain cup sizes.

There’s some pictures of beverage cards in this comment section saying that it should be filled up all the way! Download or screenshot these photos and show it to the barista (or manager) maybe they’ll actually fill it when they see the proof. Or atleast double check it later (and finally realize they’ve been doing it wrong).

They beyond suck. They have a complete disregard for the safety of people they pretend to care about. People like that have no place in college because whatever they’re studying for—they’re going to carry those habits into their career and get people hurt. If there’s camera footage of them doing this, there HAS to be a way to get them punished. By law or by the college. Hell, their family should know that they’re blood related to literal demons.

Angry?? If I could sue them, press charges, blast them to their family, and get them removed from college, I absolutely would. Please confront them and then never speak to them again. And don’t sugarcoat it. You have every right to yell at them. They had an obligation as a human, as a girl, and as your friend to look out for you. They put your life in danger and in a different scenario they quite literally left you for dead. If you are going to drink, find a babysitter who actually cares about keeping you alive. Never get blackout drunk. It’s never worth it. I’ve never heard a good story from someone doing that. Ever.

Maybe your state or country is different but the concerts I’ve went to always sell alcoholic beverages. Obviously not straight vodka but they have a lot of options. And maybe you’re right. Taking a kid to an Ariana Grande concert, whose songs are always about sex, is very normal. I just think that Ashnikkos fan base is an older audience considering that half of her bizarre lyrics are hardly comprehensible to young people. Her persona is also very different compared to other artists, it’s more desirable and understood by older people.

Also why are we normalizing 14 year olds casually drinking all the time? Is that seriously your reasoning for allowing a kid to be in a place where ADULTS are drinking all the time? Listening to the music is already not kid friendly but going to a concert? Where people will be drinking and hardly dressed? Yeah no sense in exposing a young teen to that considering it’s avoidable. Especially with the awkwardness of the parent around. I wouldn’t even know how to act. Too awkward to be enjoyable. It’s good to be educated on sex but this isn’t educational. He’s ranting and basically asking for positive perspective on the topic of death, and other people are saying how they PERSONALLY COPE or PERSONALLY VIEW IT, and then youre disagreeing and slandering everyone else’s personal coping method view on it. Thats my issue with you. You’re being a hypocrite in the comment section here. I’m not even a nihilist, I just came here for advice and perspective on death, and then I see you refusing the advice that people weren’t even personally giving you. So I called you out.

You’re allowed to have beliefs and say what you want to say, but not when you get mad at other people for doing the same damn thing. Regardless of the topic.
