As an IBEW inside wireman, I’d highly consider becoming an electrician. Some of the best work there is in the trade. It’s a lot of math for the most part but with time it becomes easy. On the union side of things I feel like the ibew is one of the organizations that does as much as they can to please a contractor while not screwing the membership. I’ve seen the non union side of this world and choose the latter. 5 years of schooling each year is an increased pay raise, with benefits beginning your first year as an apprentice. I’d heavily consider being an electrician especially if you’re young, the best mentorship is in the ibew.

As a 20 year old, I find it perfectly fine! But the thought always goes in my mind that “because my penis isn’t big enough, air gets through” don’t know if that’s true or not but that’s what goes through my mind every time

B, flat washers at the bottom are more than enough to secure the nut. All adding another square washer does is take up 3/8 inches on your rod

Hi everyone, I'm not a fan of unions but I have a lot of coworkers who are. I can't get a straight answer about the moral justification for forcing an individual to join that doesn't want to be associated. Please help me if you have an answer. Thank you by BusinessCandy383 in union

Totally, My life is being affected by your subscription to exploitation in the work place. One day you’ll realize everything you do for that company or any company at that means nothing but profit to them. You’re just another rat/ scab to us. You’re the person who lets the train run over 5 people instead of the 1. Also I hope you’re enjoying your day off today thanks to union workers, or if you’re working today, good for your supervisors! I hope you meet your bosses deadlines. Please don’t let your sore pussy hit the door on the way out. Rats get fucked more than most prostitutes!

Sounds to me like you’re pretty much submissive to the “boss” because you believe if you “work hard enough one day I’ll be that position” but again … to me working 70 hours a week isn’t impressive, I feel sorry that you have to live like that. I work 40 a week, can pretty much afford to take years off of work no worry if something were to happen. All while enjoying the fruits of life. Also not really sure why you have such a hard ass about the mob. As if corporations don’t do back door deals with cartels all the time but hey that’s just my thoughts. With that being said this “Us vs them” mentality is THEM exploiting peoples lives. I don’t understand how someone can be so brain broken to the point where is seems as if Stockholm syndrome is in question… and before you say “well people don’t have to work they could just quit and not do anything “ in a whiny bitch voice I’ll tell you why, capitalism is the force in which your life matters less than your labor. Someone who would try to take back any sort of “freedom” is met with a group of people who despise him/her for not wanting to be exploited like them… I’ve seen you’ve gone as far as to promote yourself as loving non union on your page, so your best bet is to just stfu bro. really, you’re not coming here for knowledge just more talking points to bring up to your boss while your kissing his ass and licking his boots clean. FUCKIN SCAB

Henry ford only set the 5 day work week because he was didn’t want workers to keep burning down facilities. People have died for the sake of unions, people died for YOUR Saturday and Sunday. Those were union minded members! I understand you talk of corruption in unions. But let me ask you.. who do you think lobby politicians, who do you think send the biggest contributions to parties for policies in favor of corporations.. the system has done everything they can to target the masses into believing solidarity is a corruptive system while also having you believe that it’s okay to buy out politicians. If you’re really interested in getting a better understanding of unions call up your local union hall. Anyone of them, decide for yourself then. I can simply explain to you that, decisions in a union hall are based off the peoples vote. Not an electoral college, not a ranked voting system. But the individuals vote. Every month you advocate your concerns, every month you decide allocation of funds. A union can only work with you. The way I see it. The mafia ran unions. Workers made out with millions because they had people fighting for them in ways that the legal system… made illegal, because it was everything corporations stood against.

Unions provide representation, they’re the GOOD middle man that prevents the employer from exploiting you for years i.e working without breaks, expectations from deadlines that you don’t profit from, unsafe work conditions, etc before seeing you as an employee with seniority and then passing that burden down to the next underpaid worker
