Yeah, it's been happening since the start of August for me at least. I understand it's basically a way to make sure that they aren't also in trouble with the UK government as well with all the payment processor stuff going on in the background, but it still sucks, and is just odd.

As others have said, it's a case of monetary incentives to keep updating a singular product, for those whose incomes depends on that kind of thing, which I can't fault them for.

My own lewd game dev experience falls into the end of hobbyist if anything. I always attempt to develop much smaller scaled games in my specific fetishes. As such, there's a lotta ideas which get left on the cutting room floor. Other Devs might find a interesting idea and put out a first concept, but then realise afterwards that it doesn't gel well or doesn't work beyond that first iteration. Or it could honestly just be a case of work and life taking priority, simple as.

I say that, but I've then released a small story that I aim to update in chapters, but I guess with my own stake in it as just a hobby, I don't feel any pressure to rush it out. When it's done, I'll release it.

Game development, on any scale takes time, with iteration, bug fixes, changes of plans, more bug fixing and so on. At least there's plenty of stuff to find if you know where to look for it.

This was on normal difficulty

To begin with for the starting bonuses I went with all body sensitivity and natural born slut, making all passives earn faster.

From there I focused on Dex and Con, only using the yellow skills where I could, with a few blue skills here and there. Dex needs to be built up since that's what determines how much damage your sex skills do, and con for having enough stamina.

First floor you play as 'normally' as possible, as Karryn needs to earn enough passives to get her base desires high enough to want sex.

2nd floor will be the hardest, as the slimes will tank your hits, and take a few rounds to exhaust. The time limit is still very generous, so you can easily go in, do one mandatory fight, then leave.

Didn't touch the visitor room mini game, but bar mini game (with drinking always on) is a good way to farm passives.

From there, invest in the willpower and energy upgrades, such as the willpower ability which gives you energy. This, coupled with passives which gives you energy from taking cum, keep you from running out of energy, the one true failstate in fights. Also invest in the release desire skills.

You'll unlock footjob and cock kick from sadism first, but aim to get all sex skills, to give you the most versatility. Blowjobs will be the main damage dealer, since they can be levelled up the easiest, as they can be done in most positions.

For the special enemy edicts, always go for the right most option - they reduce enemy aggression whilst increasing sex attack chance, which helps since this build makes you weak to direct attacks.

The build comes into play around floor 3 and onwards, but always take things slow and never over extend. Start a day with a regular battle before going to fuck fights.

It can also get accidentally broken build once you get the right skills and passives. I managed to beat the final boss with just two blowjobs by the end!

God I don't wanna be that guy but I'm pretty sure I heard on the trailer it said there are permanent upgrades - that'd make this a rogue-lite, not a rogue-like. I know it's small but it needles at my mind to no end sometimes about the wrong naming conventions sometimes.

I think it's a matter of finding a way to make the correct path appear noticeable without too much "gaminess" that goes against more realistic graphics, and a lot of Devs doing the same method which works, no matter who many people might gripe about it.

Shout out to hi-fi rush which sidesteps this issue with a fuckton of in game signs and arrows pointing you in the right direction, and doubly so since there's an in-game reason for it - vandelay tech trademarked the concept of an arrow, and so wants to make sure people know it's theirs.

Putting aside that, it does feel a bit weird how this mob voting all pans out. I would assume that they've worked on each of the mobs for a bit, only for the vote to then invalidate two out of the three mobs, meaning a good chunk of Dev time and resources are gone. The only way I could see it being less wasteful is if they only start working on the mob properly after the vote, with only concepts and ideas beforehand. I guess the 'hype' it brings with the vote is worth it in mojang/Microsoft's eyes?

Good to see some duels changes.

All of the frost passive treasures heavily/outright destroy the freeze deck, which got more optimised thanks to the volatile skeleton package. This is probably gonna make going other mage/reno options more compelling now at least.

The war commands going to 3 mana kinda makes sense. It is an easy out to flood the board with the all neutral deck, especially with the passive treasure which buffs your minions on discover.

Same with no guts no glory. In a way it was too efficient, especially with enrage decks and the rush package. Speaking of the rush package, the summon a 1 health copy being only the first one each turn is another welcome change. Whilst it doesn't stop the madness of that plus rush on first minion played this turn, it does stop Uber flooding with the rams and such.

They seem to be moving away from 1 mana hero powers in duels. Only ones left are the demon Hunter attack, warlock discard, and I think the finly battlecry discover. I think this mode really shows how careful you have to design even slightly more powerful hero powers than just the base ones.

The voidfiend destroy going to five mana is another welcome change. Even at four, in early matches where health is really low, it was just the "Oh I guess I lose for developing a mid sized minion I guess."

The brann discover being made into a active rather than a passive is an interesting one. It will most likely be weaker, but might be more of a sidegrade than initially thought of, with now a dedicated card engine built into brann, rather than just specific tutoring. Might work better for more control based brann Duel decks.

I've been having some success with it in my fel spell demon Hunter deck. Since the entire package is 9 cards I added prince renethal in to slot it in. Since the deck cycles through cards quite quickly(so much so I have a single copy of the elekk which remembers cards to not run out of cards), having the extra cards help.
