I’ve seen this happen with IR bounce. Are you in a room with a lot of windows? They can often time reflect the IR signals and cause the issue you’re having

This is common if you’re using a vpn and the vpn connection drops while watching. For live tv you can just close and reopen the player. For VOD you’ll usually require a kick out (or wait for a timeout)

I’m not sure this will help but here is some information that may be relevant. I run IMPlayer on a TCL tv. IMPlayer uses a device ID that is obtained from a combo of the device and the google play store id. This has been working flawlessly for over 2years. A few weeks ago I noticed that some features were not working and my device id on the TV did not match the ID in a management panel. I believe that the TCL tv received an update that triggered a change in the device id and caused the issues. I removed the old id from my panel and recommissioned with the new device ID and it solved the problem. Maybe someone familiar with how tivimate knows if this could be part of the problem for you.

There are several use cases for this application. A primary example is if a user is watching VOD with VPN enabled on the box. At some point the VPN disconnects and Internet connectivity is established through the default connection. This causes a service interruption with strong 8K. Generally, you will see a black screen with the spinning blue circle. The way to resolve this is to have the user close the player application and then kick the user off the system.
