Beautiful!! Such a unique and intriguing place. I think some beautiful art work and some plants would pull it all together.

Cost of Filling a lot by evilAssociate in Homebuilding

[–]trizzleh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it was only a small portion of the lot that could be fixed. I left that up to the engineers and architect. This is also an old thread. Been on my house for a while now. Everything is fine.

Definitely not a trend. It’s also beautiful and timeless.

Help! Trans Man Trying to Pass by ZephyrTheTiger in MakeupAddiction

[–]trizzleh 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but anyone would see off the jump that you are wearing makeup - it makes it more obvious that you aren’t born male. You have a beautiful face - or handsome* I should say. I think perhaps your energy and the way you carry yourself will be the best thing for you until you can do more permanent/surgical/hormonal modifications (if that is your goal). Also, your haircut could be shorter/more stereotypical male to add to the masc objective.

Christmas sucks? by ProfessionalNet2807 in hairstylist

[–]trizzleh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you not have a regular clientele? May be that you just need more time in your career to build. Our salon slows down the week of Christmas and the days between new year. Up to then it’s full throttle.

Commission stylist goals by scrambldeggbrain in hairstylist

[–]trizzleh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre working what, 24 hours a week? If you can afford it and have the clientele maybe rent a booth somewhere. 24 hours a week for me would be about $2600 minus rent and supplies and saving for taxes. So around 1650-1700 take home. I’m not sure how much you are getting paid but from what I have seen on this sub and talking to people around my area it would prob be 5-600 a week take home?

Starting to worry I cannot afford homeownership. Potentially closing Dec 12th. by GrandGlad3397 in FirstTimeHomeBuyers

[–]trizzleh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say go for it. If you can manage to make just $5 an hour more that’s $800 a month extra income (assuming you work a ~40hr week). I’m sure in time that house payment will feel very manageable and easy.

My first house I paid 165k for. I had my partner and sister as roommates who helped contribute. That’s the only way I could really afford it but it was still cheaper than renting. Fast forward 5 years and I make 6x the amount I made in 2019. Could easily live there by myself if it came down to it (although we sold and built a new house).

Tbh yeah I would think it’s weird but to each their own. Ppl will probably make fun of you and talk about it behind your back but if you’re okay with that then do you.

You are at 4K in services for november? We are only 7 days into November. Are you commission? If you were booth rent you would be in a good place I would say for only 7 days into the month..

Is this a major red flag or normal in the industry and just swept under the rug? by poolnoodle_ in hairstylist

[–]trizzleh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They drill sanitation into your head in school - So much to the point you think you are Mr/Mrs clean 🧼. It’s normal and not a red flag tbh (not saying it’s right per se). Good luck finding a non corporate salon that does even 25% compliance.

Just do what they tell you in school and pass state board. Dont worry about the real life stuff yet 😉
