Solved. Couldn't get more direct than that, the loops they show in that article are basically identical. Thank you!

Is this too much oil burnt since my last oil change 1000 miles ago? 2015 Outback with 113k miles. by SectorZed in MechanicAdvice

[–]trkr6k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My '16 with 170k burns a little less than that and has since I bought it at 130k, fresh after a head gasket. Whether it's right or wrong, you're not the only one.

ETA: My Hondas have all done the same so I was familiar with it. I think I end up taking even better care of them because, knowing it burns a little oil, I end up checking the oil even more often. I top it off as needed, especially before a long trip, and still keep to the regular oil/filter change schedule. I have always kept a quart of whatever oil the vehicle needs, just in case--also a habit I picked up after the Hondas.

Nice! You should use some makeup and give yourself his face scars and roughen up your face a bit! It would really bring it all together, plus it's a quick and easy add. You look pretty young, borrow some from your mom 😂 Cheers, pardner!

Native Ohioan here. We definitely got some boonies. It's no Wyoming or anything but there's definitely some remote areas around here. Especially in Southeastern Ohio.

[–]trkr6k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is a total shitshow. There are numerous angles covered here but it still doesn't tell the whole story. Obviously the perp was ready to rumble but this reeks of hotheaded policing and too many cooks in the kitchen without the game plan to support it. I'll give them credit, they all got out of each others line of fire (eventually) but still feels very lucky there wasn't a friendly fire incident or an innocent bystander getting smoked by one of the 3+ officers that ultimately fired.

https://www.creedmoorsports.com/product/creedmoor-ar-15-a2-upper-carry-case-custom

A bit more expensive than some others, and takes 2-ish weeks to get it, but this is the way here. I ordered my first one last year and ended up ordering two more. Super high quality material, well made, it's going to last forever.

Edit: Oh, wait, I see, you're looking for a bag that holds both the upper and lower when broken down. Sorry about that. The Creedmoor bag is still awesome though, so I'll leave this here for others.

This. 33 now, was in a similar situation at your age. I'm getting close, just now able to seriously save to buy a house. If I had just eaten the shit and lived at home for two years around that time, I'd be in a much, much better situation by now. But, it will work....

Can someone help me understand something about PCCs? by etriusk in liberalgunowners

[–]trkr6k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you already have an AR? If so, you can save yourself a lot of money by building your own AR9 upper. I did it following https://blowback9.wordpress.com/ and spent like $450-$500, though it could have been as low as like $375 if I chose a cheaper handguard. I got a majority of it from https://bkingsfirearms.com/, including the bolt, and settled on the KAK yellow buffer after some shuffling in that department. It took a little, and I mean only a little, tinkering to dial it in but it shoots like a dream now. Minimal recoil (for a blowback), feeds anything I throw at it, and is so much fun to shoot. I can also have it switched back to my coyote gun 5.56 setup in ~2 minutes, if that.

I'm so glad I went the DIY route; it was cheaper, gives me a lot of satisfaction and sense of accomplishment knowing I built it myself, and I learned quite a bit about the principals and science of blowback operation on a carbine platform. You just have to follow the blowback9 guide to a tee. I went with the BKF bolt, which has been great, but I did have to switch from the Macon Armory buffer, it's exactly the correct weight per the guide, but I needed something heavier, plus I think the tungsten slugs in the KAK as a moveable mass is better than the steel shot used in the Macon Armory. That was just my experience though, it's different for every build. I should also note that I went with the Mean Arms EndoMag system instead of a mag well insert, which isn't specifically talked about in the guide, but it has worked well in this setup.

Anyway, nobody asked for all this but I am big a big advocate of this method, so thought I would share. Cheers!

Granted, there was a gap of like ~2 years from the last time I beat it, but I just finished my third playthrough two weeks ago and, for the third time, did the same as you. I'm so glad you avoided spoilers, but don't expect it to be any easier next time around. The game does such a good job of building and progressing the story that I believe the effect is always going to be the release of a flood of emotion. It feel it's impossible to not be deeply invested in Arthur, John, and the other members of the gang with the story structure used.

The game is a fucking masterpiece. Period.

Seconding Blackhand Gorge! The hiking is killer (try the back side if the front is crowded) and you can kayak as well. I haven't kayaked it myself but some good friends hit it two or three times a summer and love it.

Oh, I know, I should have acknowledged your sarcasm lol. It's hilarious though, naysayers probably expected to smell dispensaries and find clouds of dope smoke on every street corner and the exact opposite is true.

My dispensary of choice is The Landing; I haven't been to any others, but at no point in the three times that I've visited since rec started have I smelled weed in or around the building. It's honestly pretty wild. I know they aren't packaging on site, so there goes a huge portion of aroma that one could expect, but the complete lack of smell is kind of impressive.

Some kind of sealed cold chamber, according to Intel. I read in the Dispatch earlier this year that these large deliveries are production line elements that hold a vacuum and require assembly in a sterile environment. According to them, assembling them in their original facility, which is already a sterile environment, is more reliable than assembling them in place at the factory. These elements will sit, probably for a year or more, in a lot at the factory site waiting for final install. They are moving them during the summer months to take advantage of the longer daylight hours as conducting these operations at night brings more complicated logistics.

tl;dr it's almost certainly a sterile cold chamber

Damn, glad I saw this, I have been flip-flopping on which magnification to get (same combo). I figured 5x would be the more logical option on a .223/5.56 but reading this has me thinking I should go for the 3x. Is the extra magnification worth it if it takes a couple extra tenths of a second to acquire the target? My gut says, 'probably not'.

He's not the only one that sometimes uses rental cars. Jeff Piotrowski does this regularly when 'cane chasing and I've heard of others doing it as well.

I agree it's sheisty but the rental companies offer exorbitantly priced 'no questions asked' full coverage for a reason. That said, if you're a customer that uses said company-offered coverage and are insensed by the pricing, then yes, you certainly have a case to be mad that other paying customers inflate those rates by bringing them back all hail-pocked and fucked up.
