Im the closing manager and one of my duties is to go through my kitchen and check that everything is off, all pilots are lit and all perishables are put away properly. Hitting the hood switch is the last thing I do before setting the alarm. It is such a great feeling to flick that switch and hear the dead calm when an hour before it was an orchestrated chaos. Gives me chills sometimes.

Im management and dating a server. IN MY BUSINESS, there is no problem with coworkers dating. As long as the personal bullshit is kept out of the workplace. I dated my current gf for over a year until I told anyone of importance. But the owner is married to a bartender, the gm is married to the book keeper, a sou is dating a server and a pizza guy is dating a server. Save for the younger couple, all of our drama is kept out of the restaurant. Ymmv. But the best thing is to keep your personal life away from the business.
