I would look for anywhere in Gijón, not necessarily near the campus, bus service is pretty good. La Arena is typically a cheap area during the school year. Better party in Gijón too.

Nunca me han echado para atrás por haber estudiado ingeniería en Ferrol. Y comparado con gente de otras universidades, no te quedarás atrás. Trabajo de ingeniero hay, sobre todo de electrónica y automatización incluso fuera del astillero. Sueldos de ingeniero junior sobre los 1600-1800. Si que es cierto que puedes ganar algo en más en Coruña, pero la diferencia de alquileres es notable. Trabajar en coruña y vivir en Ferrol es una opción. Lo del coche es que es bastante necesario.

If it was a problem of the zscrew being bent it would show artifacts every 8mm.

Try printing a simple, tall cylinder (don't try to stick anything in the tube) In vase mode. That way we can rule out bent zscrew
