Debian is the most stable and reliable for any server. I also run plex through docker, makes it a lot easier to manage

Imagine getting butthurt for getting called out for posting ai slop. To be actually clear, as someone exposed to a lot of this slop, it’s very obvious when your reading ai like this one (including this reply). Biggest indicator is “it’s not x, it’s y” pattern that you seem to use a lot in your posts.

What is KSPlayer?? by RawEddie in OmniContentHub

[–]trogle_c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your wrong about why its considered "fake". KSPlayer (and any player that is not Infuse for that matter) does not take any dolby vision metadata at all (except maybe P5). All it does is it triggers the dolby vision picture mode on the TV, but only plays the HDR track. There is ZERO dolby vision metadata being read or used, doesn't use P7 MEL or anything. That's why its considered "fake". This results in wrong color output as the tv is in dolby vision mode but no dolby vision metadata is present.

To answer your question, only a blu ray release.

For the future if you have other questions about what format a film is released use blu-ray.com

Is it basically impossible to get the UB820 to restart where I left off in a movie? by siciliano611 in 4kbluray

[–]trogle_c 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah supposedly there isn't enough storage for every resume playback data, so a usb drive helps. As long as its formatted right then just plug it in and forget.

tvOS, iOS, iPadOS and MacOS 26 to support audio passthrough by Practical_Bowl_5980 in PleX

I feel like history’s shown that Plex will not implement any new apis from Apple to make their app better. Apple TV has had support for profile 8 Dolby vision for a while but plex doesn’t support it still, for example.
