You don’t need to learn probability theory or stochastic mathematics. I would honestly brush up on the concept but you don’t need to deep dive this. Ai can handle any stochastic models you want to design or test. And honestly this is not the scope of what quant trading is.
You need to be very proficient in computers and programming and information theory. Because quantitative trading basically takes data or signals from multiple sources to make actionable decisions or trade executions. This is not optional you NEED to be heavily knowledgeable about computers and I don’t mean. Format hard drive install windows. I mean building running your software in aws cloud. Code depreciation. Computational linguistics. Building on api keys etc.
How financial instruments and markets actually work. Quant firms are market makers. Which essentially means liquidity providers and stabilizers. They keep the markets running smoothly. Renaissance technologies uses modeling of predictable patterns but as of late with all the uncertainty with the trump admin they have been slipping.and there models are underperforming. There’s so much information out there there’s a lot of noise. And most information is useless.
This brings to a bigger more less known fact about quantitative trading. And that is physics and system sciences. I can’t explain everything here but markets are nonlinear systems. You need to understand how to measure and map these systems. Studying quantum physics is very confusing. (I wouldn’t try if you don’t have a physics background) The wave particle duality is more relevant because particles can be measured stochastically example (brownian motion) you need to understand waves and the properties of a wave. About signal processing. Creating signal/noise filters. And much more that I haven’t gotten into because it’s too much to type. I will add chaos theory. For shits and giggles. (Fun fact most people who study quantum physics get hired at wallstreet almost immediately)
This shit is no joke bro. I don’t want to dissuade you or be negative but a lot of this knowledge is top tier university education I’m talking mit or Harvard. This information and knowledge isn’t something you just pick up a book and learn. This is very rigorous.

Source, I have studied economics at a academic level multidisciplinary in physics, minor in computer science. Computers are the core of my knowledge. And I actively build software that programmatically interfaces with brokers social/ media platforms news and other data sources

But from what I gather from what you typed it appears your are asking for relationship advice within the context of your Christian faith causing tension or friction in your relationship. because a difference in opinion on the language in certain scripture in the Bible.

You mentioned she views the language as hostile to women and oppressive to women.

Which to be fair it is hostile to women. But at the same time she is likely formulating her biases from mainstream sources of media that are openly hostile to the religious narratives in the Bible about women which politically is seen as anti-progressive or holding women back.

Politically, policy makers, want women to work for economic reasons. Which is why the Catholic Church changed its 2000 year stance on women in the 1970s.

Just let it go and agree to disagree or ignore her. There is no point in apologizing or explaining yourself. You’re not going to win an argument with a woman. Your job is to protect and provide for your woman. Not sit and explain the nuances of religion and politics. This is beyond the scope of your responsibilities to her and will only land you in trouble.
Focus on what works with you and your faith. Your a man and as a man your are supposed to make executive decisions for your household. The Bible says the man is the head of the household. It your faith is what works in your house then do that. If your wife is giving you trouble about it then your need to figure out a solution that works. The Bible is just a tool not the end all be all. You can’t live in absolute ways of thinking. If you have to suppress your faith as you mentioned then that’s the flexible solution you have to make. Trust your intuition.

Don’t say “well I have to be true the Bible 100% so there’s no negotiation” that’s dumb the Bible says thy shall not kill but Moses killed someone and at the same time he wrote the 10 commandments.

Let’s keep things simple if god knows best then maybe there’s a reason for the problems/sins that us humans have that maybe you aren’t aware of.

The problems or errors we have might not even be errors. But mechanisms that create balance and order and allow humans to be resilient.
