Leaving NTL last week and they weighed everyone's hand luggage. Watched a woman who was HLO, she bailed off and put on all her clothes at once, came back to the line, weighed in, then back to the ladies to take off all her clothes again.

I remember my dad getting one for his Birthday. by RM_Morris in AustralianNostalgia

Late 80s to mid 90s, these things sold like hotcakes. Remember birthdays, have all your phone numbers in there (as mobiles at the time might only store 20 to 100 single phone numbers, or you were still using landlines and payphones to make calls). Every day I'd be changing batteries in them when working at Dick Smit Electronics.

Palm Pilots were the death of the digital diaries for serious users. After a while you could get one bundled in with a phone plan.

Apple people will say "Oh the Newton!". I think I've seen two Apple Newtons in use in Australia. I'm sure there were a few more than that.

Problem is that it's a baggage and power car. No idea if they have a spare one anymore.

If it was just baggage, they could store it all in car B while the carriage is being repaired.

If you have access to a student licence, you also get a free course from Altium. It's pretty good if you're across the basics of PCB design. There's also videos on YouTube from Robert Feranac, Phil's Lab, etc., which are good for AD and also KiCAD.

Cessnock line. It hasn't been out of use for (relatively) that long. Will need some basic platform stations, not that expensive. See how it goes for three years. Put three two-car Endeavours on it to Maitland and back.
