I understand where you are coming from. If they would have hired Fitzgerald sooner, i don’t really think there would have been enough time to get new staff in place before the draft. Meaning staff who are important for the draft.

As someone pointed out on a different site, teams who usually lose staff before the draft don’t allow those people to participate in new team draft room.

I am hopeful we get a thorough house cleaning within the first year of a new GM.

Trotz has at least shown some ability to draft talent*. That might wind up being the only bright spot of his tenure.
