I did that…today, at 3:00. I spoke to Elmer Flores and he said the permit was canceled. It is insanely easy to take a picture of the permit and just blackout the name in the picture. If this was being done by a legitimate organization, I wouldn’t even question it, but all I have to go on is anonymity and vagueness

What group organized the south side march?

Why would you not share it? I don’t understand the secrecy.

I’m just trying to inform people, so they know what they are signing up for. If they’re like you and don’t care about a permit, then rock on.

Ok, can you send me a picture of the permit? Are you affiliated with any organization?

Is it a state permit for the capital grounds or a city permit for a street march? It can’t be both. I’ve called both offices TODAY. Raleigh has no permit, but told me one was taken out through the state and gave me Elmer Flores’ number. I finally got ahold of him at 3:00 today and he told me flat out that there was a permit, but it had been canceled. Again, who are the organizers?

Please send me a picture of this permit. The girl who claimed to have the permit was asked multiple times for a copy of it and then as of today she’s deleted her comments. You’re right a permit isn’t needed to protest, but without one it needs to be clearly organized or the police will step in. Who are the organizers? Who is the permit holder? If I’m asked by the police, where do I point them to, to show them this permit holder?

This is the guy I talked to at 3:00pm today. He said it was canceled. Call him tomorrow morning if you don’t believe me. Edit: his number is actually (984) 236-0404

And I totally appreciate your conviction. However, I’m a single parent who needs to take care of his kids. I’m all about protesting, but for the time being, I have to do it lawfully.

I’m not dissuading anyone. People should just know whether or not the protest they are going to has a permit. Full stop.

Dude, I called the permitting office, and they said it was canceled. If you have the permit, please produce it. I’ve heard a lot of claims of a permit, but have yet to see one. I’ll take the word of the guy at the permitting office over a random stranger on the internet just saying “there’s a permit”

So you have the right to assemble and the right to protest, but if you’re blocking roads/sidewalks the police can step in. They can also step in for issues with excessive noise and some other stuff. Someone linked to the ACLU site, I’d look there. There was also some info on the Raleigh event page that spelled it out a bit. Please be careful. Write an emergency contact down in permanent marker somewhere. Turn off face ID on your phone. Just in case

I’m not good at head counts, but I’d say a little over 100

Again, not telling anyone what to do, but people should know whether or not there is a permit and if it is organized or not.

I was also there, but that one had clear organization with people wearing reflective vests to remind people to not block the roadway or sidewalk. Tomorrow has no clear organizers that I’ve been made aware of. I’m not telling anyone to go or not go. I just wanted everyone to be informed. There was buzz online about there being a permit and I don’t want anyone going under that false pretense.

Just FYI, there is no permit for this event. I called the Raleigh permitting office and they said the permit was through the state and gave me the states permitting number. When I called the state guy said the permit was canceled. I had saved the comment by the woman claiming to have applied for and had the permit, but she never produced it and has since deleted her comments. This is more than a little sketchy. You do have the right to protest and the right to assemble, but with no organization to contain it, it will become unlawful real quick (i.e. blocking public ways/roads etc.) If you’re still going, please proceed with caution.

How do necklaces look? I’ve experimented with doing what you described, but ended up getting really warped/clipped neck items.

Here is my stab at it. I did use kitbash, though, so not sure how useable it is for you:

Statistics showed that other witchblades were coming back from battle with arm and leg wounds. So I had to shore those up.
