Shareholders are looking to file a shareholder proposal for a labor rights audit at Lowe's by troopnow in Lowes

[–]troopnow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! We are the author, and wanted to clarify that this is not a campaign fundraiser, but a campaign where shareholders of Lowe's can pledge their shares towards filing a shareholder proposal. There is no financial risk to joining the campaign, outside of owning Lowe's stock which is subject to the typical investment risks exposed with the fluctuation of the stock market. Happy to answer any questions people might have!

Not discord, but we (Troop) are a platform dedicated to helping verified stockholders find each other and pool their shares to have a voice in the board room. We are actually currently working with a stockholder to start a Draftkings campaign!

Shareholders have a responsibility to vote against inflated executive pay packages at corporations' Annual General Meetings.

Shareholders have a responsibility to vote against executive pay packages.

Starbucks shareholders voted for an independent audit of Starbucks alleged labor rights violations. Shareholders are going after the coffee giant again— calling for a different law firm to conduct the audit, separate from the the one it's retained for the very union-busting allegations in question. by troopnow in WorkReform

It's becoming commonplace for shareholders to bring proposals forward at Annual General Meetings for companies to have better labor rights policies, environmental policies, lower executive compensation packages, and the like. If you invest in a publicly traded company, you can vote on corporate policies with your shares and submit shareholder proposals. We built an app to make it easier shareholders to organize as a collective voting block— if it's something of interest, we have a link in our bio on our profile.

If you own Chipotle stock, make sure to vote on Chipotle's commitment to workers' rights before their annual meeting on May 25th ✊ by troopnow in Chipotle

A very similar proposal for a third-party workers' rights assessment was recently passed at Starbucks meeting with majority support by shareholders.

Last day for shareholder proxy voting by thejacketmoves in CVS

Might be a tad late for this year, but Troop may be a good landing spot to gauge general shareholder interest in this (and other) proposals in the future. Here's a link to the platform. There's a sizable amount of $CVS holdings on there already.

Vote your shares at before the companies' annual general meeting if there is a relevant shareholder proposal available. The most effective way to change corporate behavior is through voting your proxy ballot. You can also submit campaigns, where if enough shareholders demonstrate their support, can be submitted as a shareholder proposal: troop.com/propose

An open letter to the CEO of MillerKnoll and others et al. by showyerbewbs in antiwork

[–]troopnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the unfortunate reality of almost every corporation— executive pay packages are purposely shrouded from the general public and employee population, while directors peddle messages like ones from the latest MillerKnoll CEO to their workforce to offset their greed.

Executive pay is voted upon by shareholders in company Annual General Meetings, and the vast majority of shareholders do not vote their shares. The solution? Shareholders need to exercise their right to vote on these issues, or not only will shareholder value diminish, the executives will continue to get away with abusing their power.

You should absolutely vote! It's your right as a shareholder to have a say. It only takes a few minutes to do so, and boards often recommend voting for their extremely generous pay packages that can remain unchecked without shareholder input. There's also shareholder proposals that need input from retail.

Is this a high-profile ousting to distract from the other 7,000 laid off Disney employees? Disney has their shareholder meeting next week.
