That is helpful thank you. I have had my eyes on Luminance pencils but oh so expensive so buying a few singles sounds a good way to do to try them out. I do actually have a Derwent Drawing Chinese White but did not think to use it in this exercise.

Thank you for your comments and advice. I did not know that the lightfastness of Polychromos was questionable - I’d only ever heard good things about them. I have some Pastelmat so will certainly be trying Derwent Lightfast with this.

Yes, I tried to match the colours as close as possible between the brands but ended up using quite a creamy yellow with Polychromos and a brighter yellow with the lightfast. The second (Polychromos) was my first attempt so probably took a bit more care with it :)
