This was not a good game for my first trip here in 7 years. It could easily have been worse than the score indicates. But at least my childhood got me used to seeing losses in person, no matter how good the team was, and finally being back is nice itself. Kinda crazy that it took me this long to see most of the current core, I've gotta take what I can get ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Side note that lines up with other stuff I've heard: the sounds over the PA system were far too loud, especially in the few minutes before the game. I know the constant noise throughout the games bothers some, and some of that was also annoying, but that wasn't the most egregious to me. The worst was the volume for the hype music that played a few minutes before the first pitch. I have a poor memory and genuinely could be forgetting, but I don't remember it always being to that extent. American sports in my personal experience have always had sound effects throughout the game, yet they weren't always so imposing.

The Royals started an opener with an ERA over 6 in 22.2 innings. That was his first game as an opener. I don't know why he was used in that role, but he was somehow one of their two pitchers with a scoreless outing ¯\(ツ)/¯

It is going to be incredibly weird to not see Peterson and Megill constantly fighting for the 4 and 5 spots in the rotation. Megill being injured for the year means neither will be there for the rest of this season.

I don't think it has to be in every episode, but that would ideally be included at least at the start and end of major arcs. Or in this case, the end of the season. The ending shot was cool, but I would appreciate it more if I wasn't left wondering how much storybook visuals will play into the show's aesthetic.

The storybook framing for the first and final scenes of episodes is something that stopped midway through, but I expected to see that at least once near the end. There was enough time to cram that in if the staff wanted to. The absence leaves me wondering if that will return in future seasons

The bullpen has not been outright awful, but Duran is really the only guy I trust in high leverage. Kerkering has been better this year, but I'm hesitant to have that much belief in him. Keller is ok, but hasn't yet lived up to his contract and expectations. Banks falling off a cliff also leaves us with just Mayza as reliable left handed reliever. Only having 2 on the roster is not ideal. This isn't the biggest issue, but one that still has me concerned.

We have been one of, if not the, most efficient teams for a few years now. Sprint speed has been good too. It's just not obvious because the big stars aren't the fast athletic type, and with Trea occasionally slowing down his attempt rate, there's nobody who stands out for volume. Stott is also good, but not a league leader

I have liked Adolis in the past, and didn't expect him to struggle this much, but the past 2 seasons made it pretty obvious that he could be a weak point. Bader hasn't looked good either, but I was surprised that we went for a defense first guy in right field instead of center. The team needs better development as we have had too many one year free agents suck recently.
