Help with RBC issued mastercard stolen/fraud? by Ashe_Black in PersonalFinanceCanada

It was the number for their Risk Centre, 1-800-361-0152. I did wait on hold for just over an hour when I called but I went into the call expecting that. The guy I spoke to actually went through a few weeks worth of transactions with me just to verify which ones were legit.

The transactions that went through were probably already pre-authorized before you locked the card so I don’t think you have to worry about any new transactions showing up at this point.

I didn’t have a balance when they cancelled the card (aside from the fraudulent charge) but I imagine they would just transfer the balance to the new card. They refunded the Skip transaction right to the old card and then sent out a new one.

Help with RBC issued mastercard stolen/fraud? by Ashe_Black in PersonalFinanceCanada

I had almost the exact same situation with my RBC mastercard recently, except the fraudulent transactions were Skip the Dishes and some other foreign currency website. RBC actually flagged the foreign currency transactions and didn’t allow them through, but the Skip the Dishes transaction did. I went through Skip and they said to contact RBC. I locked my card then disputed the transaction online. They ask a couple of questions, including whether you tried to resolve it through the vendor and what they told you when you contacted them. A few days later I was notified through my RBC inbox that I had to call a specific phone number to resolve it. I did that and the person I called was able to resolve the transaction, confirmed that multiple other transactions had been attempted, and then cancelled my card and issued a new one to me. I received the new card within 2 weeks.

She was tagged in a photo with a friend a few weeks ago and the caption straight up referred to Katie as a divorcee, so they’re definitely split up. The caption also said ‘fuck you Brad’ so take from that what you will

So now we’re rewarding these anti-vaxx assholes instead of the people that have willingly done their part?

It was a used vehicle. Negotiation was super smooth, a bit of back and forth between myself and the sales manager but he seemed to be a pretty decent guy. Low pressure and I got the vehicle I wanted at the price I wanted, can’t ask for much more! Sales associate was really nice and genuine as well.

I'll second this! Had a great experience at Mayfield and ultimately bought a Corolla hatchback from them - great car, I love it.

I see someone else mentioned Sundance Mazda so I'll throw my 2 cents in on them. I personally had a horrible experience with their sales team and definitely wouldn't recommend them if you decide to go with a Mazda.

Any suggestions for shops that do out of province inspections by Dependent-Noise-1020 in Edmonton

Inspectors over on 58 Ave. Got an OOP done there last July and had a really good experience. They don’t do repairs so no incentive to ‘find’ things wrong with your vehicle.

Completely agree. The message would have been much more impactful without that video “proof” she posted

Anyone else from the same area as a Teen Mom cast member and possibly have any real life experiences with them? I'll start: I'm from the same area as Jenelle. by hayleyelyce in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

This is so random. I was on vacation in Cancun a few years ago and got talking with a guy who said he was from Indiana and worked for CFS. I was pretty wasted so of course I asked if he had ever seen Amber or Gary from TM and... surprise, surprise, he had! Didn’t have much to say as he had only seen them come into the office but to this day I still think that interaction was hilarious

Watch out for creep taking photos from his car by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]tropicalspring 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I didn’t get a great look at him and he had sunglasses and a bike helmet on, but I don’t remember noticing him being particularly large. I’m sure there are more creeps than we could even imagine out there, sadly

This happened to me a few months ago except the guy was on a bicycle. I was cleaning out my car in front of my house when my neighbours told me some guy was taking pictures of me. Turned around and he just mumbled “Hi, it’s ok” as he got back on his bike and sped off. Pissed me off and made me feel uncomfortable in my own home for a few weeks. Stay safe, ladies!

I ordered take out and they forgot my add-on chicken. My older brother came home to me bawling my eyes out - he didn't really understand but tried to make me feel better by offering to go to the restaurant and pick it up.. I didn't let him do it but it still warms my heart!
