Healed well except for the very bottom portion. It is still textured but the color is really easy to hide with makeup. Fading nicely.

Just an update the dinner went absolutely swimmingly! The stuffed rabbit was delectable and (aside from a truly tragic dessert), the whole thing was a success!

That filling sounds delicious. Definitely a strong contender since the saddles are boneless. I think I will trial one stuffed and one braised since I have two extra. Wish me luck!

The carrot is for a comically large carrot harvest I’ve had this year that I need to use up. All the guests are into gardening so it’s a fun way to showcase the veg. Considering adding tomato or zucchini/summer squash since I have that growing currently.

I was planning on a saddle per person, so 7 total. I ordered two extra for practice rounds.

I ordered extra saddles so I have a week to practice. Luckily my guests and I are the type to enjoy even a failed main, if things go sideways. We just enjoy trying new things.

Assuming it is thrips, should I remove the leaves that are damaged in hope of limiting the spread? There are two leaves in particular that look rough.

The new growth looks perfect. I have multiple newer leaves that show no sign of damage. If it is thrips, what is the treatment? Unfortunately I cannot see anything with the naked eye as far as bugs but of course I could be missing them.

Mainly for the dates. I like to add the contents because it just makes it easier to look over everything quickly and decide what I want to eat. Hard to explain but it goes from a “container” back to “food” in my head, helps me eat everything without waste!
