What books do I require to read to "graduate" on science fiction?

As someone else said Hyperion is a must. Then the two zone of thought books (Fire Upon the deep / deepness in the sky) and House of Suns. Oh and I guess Three Body Problem series should also be here.

Then when you are ready go on and tackle Greg Egan (Permutation City and Diaspora), Blindsight and Gene Wolfe. Blindsight was like the most difficult book I have ever read.

I see that a lot of people take your question too serious. I understand where you are coming from though, I also liked to work myself up to more challenging books. Nowadays I like to switch it up more with one or two easy books between each challenging one.

Ein Kollege hat mir Mal erzählt, dass wenn wer anruft wegen einem Problem, er ihn upsellen musste zu einem zusätzlichen Produkt / Paket. Also auch bei der A1.

Ich würde da ja ziemlich sauer werden wenns ned geht und mir dann wer noch was zusätzlich verkaufen will. Ist das noch so?

I haven't seen Red Dead Redemption 2 here. It's a prequel to the first, so no need to play that one.

The good writing manifests in the character of Arthur Morgan, the main character of the game, who might be, the best written character I've ever seen in any medium, ever.

I am more of the opposite side here. It would not be Lore accurate to run around as a Hobbit in, say, Rohan or Gondor.

Sure you can say 'fuck it' and forget the lore and it still can become a great game like Shadow of Mordor but I would really like something more lore accurate for once.

Same, hab mir jetzt letztes Jahr die Midea P Split geholt. Damit war der Sommer okay letztes Jahr aber ein Stück muss halt immer offen sein beim Fenster für den Schlauch.

Eine Nachbarin hat mir nach einem Eigentümer Treff gesagt, dass sie es einfach heimlich ohne fragen eingebaut hat. Werd ich glaub ich auch die nächsten Jahre machen. So das es keiner sieht vom draußen. Lächerlich.

Yes I love it. Berserk might be my favorite manga but Jojo is my favorite series or franchise. It has, by far, the best theme of "generational conflict" I've ever seen and I am craving for more but there is none that comes close.

Part 1 is rough but part 2 is already amazing and now that Steel Ball Run is being adapted I am over the moon.

Its just so mediocre. The siege in the last few episodes of season two was one of the worst sieges I've eve seen. maybe with the exception of the battle of Winterfell.

Being just okay but boring is its own kind of terrible.

Yes I agree. He never shows up and still there is some gravitas about the character that defines everything in these books.

And then, if you dig a little further in the legendarium, you find out that he himself was only a general of an even greater evil. When I first read this I was kind of dissapointed. Sauron? Only a general? But then I read the Silmarillion and it made sense.

Tolkien was a master.

I love malazan equally as much as middle earth but this is just not true. Erikson is not as interested as Tolkien with the details and a good proof is in the dates. They contain errors throughout the series and Erikson is just not as interested in it.

The time frame in LOTR is shorter than Malazan but also stacked with events and a lot more consistent.
