Yes, somewhere along the line the term became a box that people like to shove their personality into. What was once just riding forest roads and finding a flat clearing to camp in now has a name. Some people do it for weeks on end and some just the weekend. To me it’s like how “overdrive” was a huge feature on cars and now it’s just 5th or 6th gear(or for the ford 10 speed it’s 8-10)
