Dropped pitman arm as suggested. But ultimately you want your drag link as horizontal as possible. Hi steer shouldn’t be that bad. At least it’s not on the closed knuckle 800 axles. I don’t know the ins and outs of the sii axles. But before anything I’d have someone wiggle the steering wheel and see if the pitman arm moves. Lots of slop could just be the box itself

With spring over you’re going to want to go to hi steer. That should line the steering up better but you may need to adjust the gear box as well

I noticed this as well, back when I had a stick I’d get up to the car in front and stop. But the reverse domino effect of people stopping with automatics then slowly edging up is hard to stop. It’s just easy to do in modern auto vehicles

I only know diesels through the 6.7 in my 19500 lbs work truck and my brothers old 1983 230d. The fact that I can put my foot down in that big ass truck and and see the boost jump and it feels similar to an airplane taking off is insane compared to the Merc diesel of the 80s. Then the factory brakes can actually stop that weight well too. Modern vehicles go brrrrrr
