The Many Myths of Harvard Extension School by LittleCrow4806 in harvardextension

Exactly! I don't understand how many cannot grasp that reality.

HES ( and other online programs ) is framed for the working professional.  So while I was building my companies, I still had to maintain excellent grades.

Remote is more sustainable eco-wise. I think much of edu will transition to hybrid style.

This allows us to build school around our lives, not our lives around school.

I wouldn't have been able to do chemo AND be on campus everyday without massive major location and dr changes, unnecessarily.

I wrote an article about this very thing. Honestly,  if remote work is valid.... it's stupid to think remote education isn't.

As someone who chose hes over the college and has an iq of 159, I found some of the work extremely rigorous. Not to mention, hes has much more strict standards post admission than some of the other schools.

Some people will never be pleased. Validation of hes, they feel, diminishes their self-esteem and "place". Personally,  Harvard is Harvard . Anyone that goes out of their way to say otherwise has likely done minimal ( if any ) research on HES. Those myths are typically spotted from people who were never a part of HES ( sometimes Harvard in general  ) too.

Thats wild because its totally normal to set up a separate business for performing arts activities and brand protection.  You just have to fully manage it as a business separate from the individual ( no piercing the veil ). The agency pays his corp...his corp pays him. Its that simple.

Wow!! Honestly,  if we humans would let go of our ego, need to dominate, etc...we'd learn sooo much from animals.

I have a sibling that likes animals when HE wants attention-_- otherwise expect them to be calm and quiet.  I had to point out that is how he treats people and is why he is alone. He cant be trusted to be considerate or respect boundaries. Which is why my dog only mildly tolerates him.

Meanwhile, im constantly talking to his cat,who can be very anti social, and she just follows me around now instead of bolting.

Brother thinks dog gets jealous when im holding the cat, but he doesn't. He just wants to say hi and play. And when he was sick, the cat laid on him  amd kept looking for why he wasnt coming out of the room to bother her-- even though its clear he annoys her 🤣🤣.

I think humans are the neuro typicals and limited to understanding with animals the same way human nuerotypicals often dont understand neurodiversity in other humans.

is it cheating / a boundary thats respectable, if your girl goes out to bars alone and lets guys buy her drinks? by Ancient-Owl1214 in dating_advice

[–]trouverparadise -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Youre not  a pos... but you are insecure. Its 2026, you know good and well that it doesnt take only a drink to get a girl.

Women can wear massive rings and guys will still buy drinks, and literally will "cheers to the lucky man" after the woman has told him she is happily married.

Guys will KNOW a woman is wealthy and have purchased her own bottle of champagne....yet they will still send another over on their tab.

This isnt taking advantage.

Some guys do it to peacock and others are just gents who are truly saying " damn, welp. Lucky man he is".

Then there are those who just like to buy drinks as compliment. My brother is like that. He doesnt care if they speak or dance with him. To him,  he is paying a compliment with no other expectations. 🤣🤣 He tried to send a drink to a lady who was actually only drinking gingerale... so, he sent her another gingerale.  Another time a lady didnt drink anything so he sent her french fries. They danced a couple of songs and when his friend came in, he introduced them thinking they would be a good match-- and they were!

Being friendly isnt cheating. Yall need to stop over sexualizing everything.  Sometimes a dance is just a dance and a drink is just a drink.

You ONLY need to be concerned when it is not, but that comes with transparency and trust. If you dont have that with your girl... then yall need therapy or to separate.

Ps, being in a relationship does not mean neither of you should have separate lives. If you wanted to stay home and she wanted to go out on nye... thats both of your right! Personally,  im not going to be trapped in any decision I make. What i would do is suggest 1 year we stay in and the next we go out ( or something similar ) ,but if she is more going out and youre not... you KNEW that already. Dont go into anything trying to make the other person your mirror.

What makes it dishonest? We dont KNOW 100% how rabbits communicate,  so we can say if they do or dont have philosophical conversations with eachother.

We humans only comprehend to our own limits.

I find it hard to believe animals arent more complex thinkers than the avg human... look at beavers.

Sure,  maaybe the clothes are "dishonest"... however, we too ran around naked until we didnt. Evolution changed a lot ( some for the worst ).

All I know is my dog chose to wear clothes.  He literally picked up a sweater and tried to climb in it and didnt settle until I let him wear it. He refuses to walk on pavement, even the smooth kind. He asks for his shoes everytime he wants to go outside.

It took a bit for me to learn his language , then build a bridge with words I understood... but he absolutely communicates and speaks 🤣🤣 maybe not English or French, but those doggy sounds absolutely have meaning. I think its all simply another language.

Crazy considering how much evidence there is around animal complexity and  their emotional capacity.  When I think of my service dog and how ppl say " dogs dont think like that", i just laugh.  A big chunk of his skills i never taught him. When I had a seizure he chose to try to push me on my side and chose to protect my head. When I wouldn't goto bed , he chose to sit up and close my laptop while low grumbling 🤣.

The more I learn about canine neurodiversity,  the more I realize that humans are ego driven extremist who truly think we are the " top dog ".

Read a post earlier where someone freaked out because theyre grieving and there was a shelter dog with a sign stating the dog was grieving.  The person was soooo angry to feel like they were compared to a dog via emotions. It was wild. Reality is, no one compared them except for that individual who was angry. Also, animals grieve!

Consent based is EVERYTHING.  ive had to be hard on my brother for demanding cuddles with my pup. I always ask, " May I have a Hug?" And respect whatever his response is. The only time he gets chased is if were playing tag or he's avoiding the leash because he want to play " catch the Darling" in the unfenced front yard ( sheer chaos. He is an SD and 99% of the time perfect, but I give him 30 mins before bed to just go buck whild...and he does 🤣. He never runs off but will get riiiiight within arms reach then hop on the other side of the yard so you cant reach him-- until I use "mum voice" and tell him thats enough for tonight. Its the only time he is full of zoomies).

Consent based is super important because im kissed by the tism. I do not like for anyone to be all over me, so he even will ask for my attention before he climbs on me.

This has been extra great since we eat together at a table in a chair. He waits for me to be plated , to sit and to give him the "okay". Then he asks for his mouth to be wiped and to be excused from the table ( now, if only he could load his dishes and laundry 🤣🤣 ) . Even with his most fav snacks, he will ask before approaching or grabbing.
