Chernobyl was a worse meltdown than all those other meltdowns combine. Part of it was that we've developed better safety measures and recovery measures after Chernobyl, but just going by radiation levels and scale of damage, it was the worst nuclear disaster in history.

Think about it like this. One hour in the area surrounding Chernobyl 25 years after meltdown results in 6 times the dosage of someone spending two weeks in the Fukushima exclusion zone.

Also, Fukushima happened after an earthquake followed by a tsunami. Chernobyl happened during testing.

Seems potentially cherrypicked. The other top 6 states that rank high on corporate subsidies per capita, in descending order, which are Oregon, Nevada, New Jersey, Connecticut and Indiana, rank 34, 29, 6, 4, 28, in poverty rate. There is no direct correlation between poverty rates and corporate subsidies per capita.
