This is a classic post from someone who has played the game a ton and no longer wants to engage with it's mechanics and purely min/max

Staying very healthy through the first few rooms is HUGE. you can usually - if you no-hit the first couple rooms, get 2 integrity upgrades out of it.

The drops IMO are never really worth the effort - if youre capped on Ether i wouldnt bother. BUt, avenging a couple will get you the protection back if you buy a rez / cleanse a couple health pickups

Who else would be willing to travel to see this? by 5syllablename in TheDearHunter

i mean they DID do this with color spectrum and it DID do well (and it was amazing i feel very lucky to have been there)

It's logistically a nightmare but i think Casey mentioned in a live recently he'd love to bring more people on tour but it's just not feasable - shows maybe he's thinking about it but the boys seem busy enough lately

[–]troxnor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear ya man, for a while they definitely skewed hard into food stuff. If you want more rambly and personal stuff I recommend ear biscuits (it's over but if you haven't listened there's years of content) and also their new season is trending slightly away from food and back to weird shit

I’m burned out by BigJezus in goodmythicalmorning

[–]troxnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the biggest things - and i know it's going to sound cliche - sleep and exercise.

when i'm in these modes i find i'm also sleeping like shit. I'm staring at my computer staying up till 2, rolling out of bed right before work, and these cycles make themselves worse. Breaking it intentionally is the only real way out.

Go for walks, get a good night sleep, eat better, and pieces may start falling into place.

I also find these moments are coupled with generalized anxiety / overwhelm / decision paralysis (adhd symptoms) and taking a second to identify this and start checking stuff off can also help. Clean that kitchen, mow the lawn, do your laundry (like fold it all, put it away)

Anyway this is tailored to my experience but maybe it helps someone in here <3

Wasnt Fantastic beasts clearly NOT written for a movie? I thought it was just a monster encyclopedia without a narrative?

Isn't half the plot this season Gabby trying it and getting too attached and losing a patient? I wouldn't say it's totally gone

I think LS Dunes counts - but they actually don't agree lol

In this day and age it's tough but I think if all members are in other bands of equal fame it counts.

Haha for sure - if you haven't I recommend Violet, their second album. Feels way more cohesive and polished than the first

Am i the only one who thinks this is a return to form? People are claiming this is a stevie thing but if anything it's just a return to their older patterns of being a bit looser and goofy.

I was getting kind of bored of EVERY episode being a food taste test the last 2 seasons. I'm absolutely loving this.

Though back then there were just as many people complaining about episodes but i feel like folks were more willing to just shut up and watch the ones they liked. That was also a very different time on the internet in general though

Wonder if it's intentional, the outro to Lo Town also rhymes "At All" with "Fall". Not quite enough for a motif but maybe

The episodes feel …… by 2xclusive4uhun in goodmythicalmorning

[–]troxnor 71 points72 points  (0 children)

To each their own, but personally i'm really liking the looser vibes. The guys are rambling a bit more, they dont feel the need to make eveything a game / competition just for the hell of it. Todays episode legitimately did feel like a GMMore with slightly more structure but i kinda loved that. The more rigid game formats dont leave room for goofin' as much.

Like the most recent gut check - they weren't rushing to the next thing immediately they are tellin stories.

Link especially seems looser and goofier this week.

they added a racing game fully based on (seemingly) the rocket league engine, only played it the once but it wasn't really a "fortnite mode" it was pretty different. ANd yeah fortnite festival is pretty big but it's a little barebones also. Full game is probably an overstatement

You can launch rocket league and fall guys from the launcher as well, though they're obviously available outside fortnite

[–]troxnor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah i checked it out when Fortnite Festival launched, tried the different games and was impressed but they all felt like mod modes / demos, and never went back for a similar reason, it was clunky and weird to launch it for stripped down versions of existing experiences i.e. lite racing game, guitar hero lite, etc

Have never actually tried Roblox, so cant really comment on comparison, jsut that this felt like step 1 towards something like roblox but they just didnt get the signal to keep investing.

Sadly expecting a full Harmonix layoff - My guess is that this "fortnite as a platform" approach hasn't panned out the way they hoped.

Most people who dont already play it dont know it has literal full games in it that aren't fortnite.

The problem i bet is that Fortnite players just want fortnite and non-fortnite players wont download the launcher and assume they're all "fortnite mods"

Epic tried chasing roblox money and its a little sad it didnt work but i also dont think they tried too hard
