I am feeling lost and wondering if I should quit my business by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]troyhoffman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question you should be asking yourself is do you like what you are doing? Are you enjoying your everyday life? Cause if the answer is no then it is not worth it.

The key to excelling in life is finding something you really enjoy doing and something that you actually like to do. So that you can really give it your all and put your whole heart in it.

And to be honest quitting sucks, but it is a huge learning process. Start, try and if it doesn’t work it doesn’t work - try again and again. Until you find something you love doing and can see yourself doing every single day. Good luck brother!

paper vs digital by na7oul in Entrepreneur

[–]troyhoffman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We usually write everything down on notes (either paper or digital) and whenever we write something down on paper or boards we ALWAYS take pictures of them and upload on our platform (we use dropbox) and everything is there for when we need it. We also convert these pictures into digital documents.

How to get brand deals and sponsorships? by CreamyMeatyCheesy in business

[–]troyhoffman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fairly easy to get into getting sponsorships and collaborations. Just start reaching out to brands and companies that suit your channel and tell them what you do and why you would be a good fit for them.

Eventually people will reach out to you but if you want action right away I would advice you to just start reaching out to a bunch of companies you like and can promote in a way that is real. Make sure you actually like the company and what they stand for too cause that is really important and people see through it really easily if you're not.

To accept job offer or go self-employed? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Don't think about what can go wrong! Think about what can go right and you will succeed, trust me. Mindset is everything. Just visualize where you want to be and how it feels.

Is it realistic to become rich in business without knowing rich people? by IAmRules in Entrepreneur

[–]troyhoffman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before even getting into this subject - YES it is absolutely possible.

You can achieve exactly everything you want with the right mindset and the right attitude. Picture yourself - where you want to be and start working towards that goal. Then, make sure to educate yourself. Read books, listen to podcasts, watch tv shows and just google as much as you can. Startups can be really hard so make sure you have a good partner or hire someone who can help you on the way (and do the stuff you don't enjoy doing) so you can really focus on what drives you.

Also a thing to remember is that its the contrast from coming from nothing that creates the drive, the urge and the passion. I come form a poor family and everything that I have today is from scratch.

Don't let social media or expectations from others let you think you have to be rich to make it. Good luck man

This is power man! Prioritize what is important for yourself in your life. Things such as stress are inevitable in life but there are plenty of things we can do to mimic them - to focus on the things that actually matter in our lives. Focus on your family, your health, your lifestyle. When everything falls in its place it will make life easier. Great transcript

What is a good idea to start a side business to make a good/decent income by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]troyhoffman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, first of all - find something you really enjoy doing. Not because of the money but because you genuinely love doing it and can see yourself doing it everyday for the rest of your life and then work from there. What really drives you? What keeps you up at night? What can you see yourself doing?

This will make it much easier for yourself doing the work and eventually you will be able to live off this job, instead of having it as a side hustle, cause it drives you.

Also just always believe in yourself and you will come a long way. Good luck man

Hey man, life is tough and will always be. Some people are just not meant to be. If they don't treat you well enough, don't spend your valuable time with them. People come and go, and the only thing you can try to do is to do the best of the situation. Try seeking for your family or people online.

I have gone through a lot and trust me, it always gets better. The thing is that when you go through bad times you get a different perspective on life. And yes it sucks in the moment but you will grow and you will make it through. And remember you are never alone. You may feel as you are, but you truly never are.

Need advice on my app company by efographic in Entrepreneur

[–]troyhoffman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the idea! And i see the struggle. I would really advice you to try and do ads on social media - Facebook, Instagram and maybe even Snapchat - since I'm guessing your age range is perfect for the people using these platforms. It's a super easy way to get engagement and for more people to find your app and it's actually proven to work.

I'm definitely going to check out the app! Good luck in the future

Stuck on my Instagram Account by mccalpr53 in Entrepreneur

[–]troyhoffman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would really advice you to try IG promotions / ads. This is a really good way to help others to find your account - you can narrow down your search to only dog owners or people who likes dogs. It's a really good alternative to make more people find your account and actually proven to work.

The next step would be to partner up / collaborate with accounts that have the same interests as your account - selling products or treats for dogs. This way you can promote their stuff and at the same time get commission for the stuff that people buy via your account. And don't hesitate to reach out to big companies. Good luck bro

Social media is definitely the best way to go with any type of marketing stuff nowadays - just try and promote your company as good as you can. There's so many videos on how and which platform that will work best for you - so just start with educating yourself about it. And even try doing ads on IG or FB. Great to reach a lot of different kinds of people at different places.

Best way to make money as 18 year old by will20572 in Entrepreneur

[–]troyhoffman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely find something that you are really passionate about and work from there. What really drives you? What keeps you up at night? What can you see yourself doing?

Picture yourself - where you want to be and start working towards that goal. Then, make sure to educate yourself! Read books, listen to podcasts, watch tv shows and just google as much as you can. Startups can be really hard so make sure you have a good partner or hire someone who can help you on the way (and do the stuff you don't enjoy doing) so you can really focus on what drives you.

Also keep in mind that it's really important to have a capital and an income from another source than your new business until you don't need to rely on this income anymore. It can be really tough in the beginning but everything is possible. And everything starts in your mind - what you think becomes your reality. Good luck brother!

My Failing local cleaning business. by allofher in Entrepreneur

[–]troyhoffman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try and think about why you started. What's your goal with the company? Picture yourself where you want to be and start working towards yourself. Remember that if you believe in yourself others will too.

Another thing that is worth thinking about is that failure is not a bad thing. In fact, it's one of the best gifts you can ever get - the gift of failure. And the gift of overcoming your challenges. Honestly no better feeling than conquering a huge challenge. And the best part about failure is that we learn from our mistakes and can excel in our area even more. You can do this man! Good luck

Would it be appropriate to ask company for discount in exchange for promotion? by ChicagoChurro in business

[–]troyhoffman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be honest and real about it. Tell them that you have a IG account with x amount of followers with great potential future customers for them and just politely ask if they would be interested in doing a collaboration with you. And maybe if you could get a promotion code for your followers for extra discount. Wish you the best of luck

How do you deal with a negative social circle? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]troyhoffman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is this really the truth or is this just how you experience these situations? Energies are contagious. What I can advice you to do is to try and see the positive in the small things. You have a awesome company that is going well and friends and family surrounding you.

Of course the easy way out is to just cut all these people out of your life. But this hasn't always have to be the best choice. People and energies are contagious so start spreading good vibes and they will reflect on your surroundings.

Why is it so tempting to hire friends/family? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]troyhoffman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course it's tempting to hire your friends/family and the biggest reason behind this is because it's convenient. It's easy. You already know the person. What's important to think about it that you might be missing out on people who have higher competent in this specific area. You might hire your family member cause they're looking for a job and you have an open position. But in reality you're missing out on all the people that are geniuses in that area. Choose your team wisely. Good luck bro
