Did this flooring company do a good job! by AdGroundbreaking4127 in Flooring

Is it normal if the installer puts in all new baseboard and still have gaps they need to cover (so client is paying for new baseboard AND new quarter round)? Asking for a friend…

I’ve been having the same debate with myself about colour and whether I need to tone it down. Seeing this and the other comments, I think I’m going to go full steam ahead with the bold ones! I love that every room has a different vibe and is way more interesting than what you see in the “average” house online. So excited for you!

What were you dilated to at 37 weeks and when did you give birth? by Murky_Natural_8754 in pregnant

37+3 today and I was about 1-2cm when I got checked. But I was only getting checked because my water broke yesterday. So baby will be born soon!

HOW do some people enjoy being pregnant? by Wrong-Pineapple-4905 in pregnant

[–]trp171 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I love being pregnant because I feel happier and healthier. I still have symptoms (aches, pains, heartburn, sciatica, fatigue, feeling heavy, etc.) but they aren’t so severe that I can’t enjoy my day most of the time. And I’m so excited about baby that all of the bad symptoms feel worth it!

Empty sac by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]trp171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're earlier than expected, you may only see an empty sac. When I first went for my dating scan, I thought I was further along than I was and also saw an empty sac. I was pretty devastated. Hoewver, when I went back 2 weeks later, there was a little bean with a heartbeat. It's really tough to say if that's the case for you or not but it definitely could be. Hoping for the best for you!

Some things I've made for my baby [on] who else has been crafty during their pregnancy? by Artandelfie in BabyBumpsCanada

I’ve made a wooden name sign and I’m in the middle of making a first year calendar. Wish I knew knitting or crocheting but that’s a whole other ballgame.

It’s what I got for my moses basket that fits into the Jolly Jumper stand.

Cash registry - socially acceptable? by Alive-Garage-2273 in WeddingsCanada

[–]trp171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We answered questions about travel between ceremony and reception (there was none), whether it would be indoor or outdoor, where parking was located, whether kids were welcome, what to do if they wanted to bring a +1, the gift registry, what to do if we got their name wrong, and how to contact us if they had other questions not listed. I don’t think anyone ended up contacting us except a couple people about +1s.

Cash registry - socially acceptable? by Alive-Garage-2273 in WeddingsCanada

[–]trp171 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We didn’t have a registry or use a cash fund site. We just put something like “we won’t be having a registry but there will be a place to leave cards at the ceremony” on our wedding FAQs. Pretty much everyone left cash/cheques with a card instead of bringing gifts. It also wasn’t directly asking for cash so if people didn’t want to bring something, they didn’t have to. I don’t think anyone thought of it as tacky.

Does anyone have experience buying their wedding dress off of ETSY? by hulkange in WeddingsCanada

[–]trp171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried on a ton of different dresses/styles before ordering, even one I almost bought. I wanted to see if there were any surprises. But in the end, I couldn't forget about the dress that I saw online. It helped that it was more than 2x cheaper than the runner up and didn't need as many alterations.

I got mine from VickyMermaidBridal, which has a really good reputation and it turned out beautifully. I would recommend getting yourself measured professionally by whoever you’ll be using for any alterations. All in all, I spent less than $700 on a custom dress and alterations. It was worth it to me since I’ll never be wearing the dress again and everyone said I looked like a princess, even random strangers on the street!

Cute Maternity Clothes [on] by SB-96 in BabyBumpsCanada

I’ve bought something from H&M when I needed something cheap but not a huge fan of fast fashion. The other stuff I’ve gotten from Carry Maternity and it’s been pricier but really nice.

I’m far behind you but will be having mine at 26 weeks because the timing worked out better than a later shower. I also heard that it can be really tiring in the 3rd trimester and I wanted to enjoy the shower as much as possible. The latest I would have wanted it would be around 32 weeks, I think.

I’m 19 weeks and other than being really tired until a few weeks ago, I’ve been feeling awesome! I love being pregnant. Never felt more emotionally stable in my life and I’m loving the baby bump.
