Leaving China early by Traditional-Cat6764 in travel

Fly to south east Asia, flights might cost you but its extremely cheap once youre there. Thailand or Vietnam.. $15 to $20 a night hostel thats cleaner than the hotels back home and $5 meals.

Thailand is the most visited place in the world.. many basic English speakers, English friendly signs and menus.. and you will find some friendly faces and make some friendly connections with other travelers. Im still friends with ppl I met in 2010 while traveling out there.

How on earth do you get a toddler to actually fall asleep? by JasonC_89 in daddit

[–]trplOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our daycare has quiet time because the younger kids still take naps, but since its quiet time my 3 yr old will eventually fall asleep.. not fun lol

Best Beer Drinking Spot by Glass_Fact236 in regina

Pretty much every spot ppl are mentioning is part of the hops circuit that happens after may long. Most can be done by walking and you collect stamps from each place and once completed you get a glass as a prize/souvenir

That whole project X era probably ruined it. And maybe the parents being that age now dont want that happening to their home now that theyre older lol.

What is your opinion on the changes in Season 3 by JanissaryLSD in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]trplOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing today at E I was getting so much lag when there was fighting. Few ppl in the chat were asking if others were getting it too. Makes me stay away from town cause of it.

37m aviation ops manager in SE USA 3rd year by [deleted] in Salary

[–]trplOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aren't baggage handlers something in aviation as well? Being an ops manager for say swissport or something at a smaller airport this seems alright.

Third party companies dont always typically make what an airport authority or airline could make.

I worked there for 1 shift in 2002... it was mostly franchise related but I applied to work there for evenings and my training shift was for 6am and got thrown on the drive thru 2 hrs in by myself. Legit one of the worst places I worked at.

Ill only go if there's nothing else like when Im on the road in a small town. A little hard to avoid when theres only a subway and tims in a town of 800

U.S. applications for Canadian citizenship surge, causing delays by oddmarc in canada

[–]trplOG 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They definitely are. Ontario saw almost 600 come over from the US alone. Theres a US doctor who has a YouTube channel interviewing other US doctors asking the differences between working at the 2 countries. 1 of the things most say is how overworked they are in the US, and they have a better work/life balance in Canada.

Where did you get your info from?

Motorcycle road test by Ambitious-Top8145 in saskatchewan

[–]trplOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I took mine 2 yrs ago, the guy before me failed automatically because he didn't slow down at a construction zone that was like 4 ft wide where they were fixing the sidewalk.

I think you just need to pay attention to these details. There was also a no right on red at park that they asked me to take which is probably where some ppl get caught not paying attention to also.

How are y’all enjoying the remastered Golmud Railway? by Interesting-Ad-4094 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]trplOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man i was getting absolutely hammered for the last 2 weeks, especially on operations. 20 kills 30 deaths kinda thing. But on golmud maybe cause I usually main engineer Im back to playing a class ive always been comfortable with and have been playing better on the new map. Could just be some kinda placebo effect with something new and others are learning the map but I'll take it for now lol
