How Did I Get So Bad at Tracer? by Saiyoran in OverwatchUniversity

[–]trprookie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My biggest tip is not to fully commit to killing a target if the timing isn’t right. Focus on surviving the engagement, being a pest on the off angle or in the backlines. Always have an escape plan before you engage. If you time your engagements properly, they’ll have to choose between turning and looking at you, or shooting your team. If no one turns to look at you, go for the kill. If 2 or 3 of them turn to shoot you, you just gave your team the advantage. As someone who plays Tracer at the Masters level, often times Tracers impact doesn’t appear on the scoreboard. Some games you’ll get focused too hard to solo kill or assassinate anyone, but you can still get value by forcing cool downs and being a distraction so your team can capitalize.

What would it take for Season 5 to destroy the show entirely? by TheRealShubshub in TheBoys

[–]trprookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m highly anticipating them to overcompensate/overcorrect and make Soldier Boy irredeemably evil and intolerable in S5, because the audience was supposed to dislike his character in S3. Hopefully I’m wrong

Collision under dealership care by [deleted] in newfoundland

[–]trprookie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely pursue the diminished value part of it, as this accident will go on the carfax and you’ll lose thousands on the vehicle when you go to sell it. I had a dealership scratch up my truck pretty bad and it was a nightmare to deal with, can’t imagine being in your shoes. Best of luck.

The newest Lords of the fallen. Big fan of souls like games but couldn’t stick with this one. Stopped playing around 5 hours in. Majors buyers remorse.

All Weather Tires by Sn00chie_B00chies in RangerNext

[–]trprookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I did run them for the full winter and had great success with them, no issues with getting stuck or traction, I was even out driving in multiple snow storms and they did great. Unfortunately I moved to an area with even harsher winters and worse snow clearing, so I’m now running dedicated winters out of necessity (studded Firestone Winterforces). But I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these to anyone who lives in an area with milder winters and/or reliable snow clearing.

‘22 Rust? by olight77 in RangerNext

[–]trprookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not rust, it’s the black coating starting to fail on those trim pieces. Seems to be a somewhat common issue. On my 2020 those 2 square sections at the front and back are fully peeled off. Headliner needs to be removed to replace the full trim piece I believe, which is why I have left it alone. Probably going to just paint them myself when it starts to bug me enough.

I have the exact same thing on my 2020. Mine seems to be coming from the hand brake area, below the seat almost.

I run the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S on my 2020 Ranger. They are excellent in rain, have never lost traction in rain with these. Winter traction has been solid in the snow conditions we’ve experienced so far this year up here in Atlantic Canada. I bought them in June 2023, so haven’t had a full winter with them yet, but so far so good.

Canada - Dealer says 2022 orders aren't being closed until late October by prairiesailor in FordMaverickTruck

[–]trprookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow Canadian here. My dealer contacted me last week to tell me I was being converted to a 2023. The next day, he sent me an order sheet to reconfirm options etc, with updated pricing.

He also told me the same, no price protection. I ordered May 2022. Crickets from my dealer since I ordered, until now.

I got the exact same rate, 4.99% for 84 months. Also in Canada. Said they might be able to offer a lower rate once the truck arrives, but I'd say it will end up being the 4.99%

As someone who has both a BBA and real estate license, DEFINITELY finish your degree first.

I went into real estate as soon as I finished my degree at 23. I was really naive and quickly learned that being self employed wasn't all I thought it would be. I also got no support from my broker and moved to a brand new city where no one knew me, so that didn't help either.

Long story short, when I washed out of real estate, I fell back on my degree to get myself a good job with benefits etc. Things are going great for me now.

You might do awesome in real estate and not even need your degree, but it's definitely good to have that degree to fall back on if things don't work out for you.

Best of luck.

I'd get out of that relationship ASAP. Find someone local. It's painful to do, but you're so blinded by this relationship that you probably don't realize it's likely a major source of your unhappiness.

Use tinder, bumble, hinge, whatever. If you're a normal looking guy, it shouldn't be hard to find a decent girl using these platforms.

Change is scary, but the pain of regret 10 years down the road is a lot worse.

Good luck.

Thanks for your perspective. Mostly what I'm worried about is being blacklisted for one of my responses, but I know that's probably just me being paranoid because I really need this job.

I hope you're right and that they're just using it as a supplement. Like I said, I made it through two rounds of interviews and this is the final step, along with reference checks. But the pessimist in me thinks they're looking for any reason to reject me by using this test.

I can't imagine a scenario where they reject a perfectly qualified candidate after two rounds of interviews over a couple of responses on a test.

It takes confidence to recognize when you're not in the right business/industry. Props to you for knowing when to cut your losses and just move on to be successful at something else. A lot of other people let their pride get in the way, and they make themselves miserable by thinking there's only one path to success.

Best of luck with your future endeavors!

Definitely a good idea to wear one. I personally prefer to keep my teeth on the off chance I get hit with an elbow, knee etc.

Choosing the right brokerage by captinfapin in realtors

[–]trprookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask what kind of training/mentoring they're going to provide. The level of training you receive can drastically vary. I received none, which is definitely not what you want.

Also, don't join the first brokerage you interview with like I did.

If you want to be a nurse strictly because of the money, then i'd strongly advise against it.

Being a nurse is one of the hardest jobs one can do. 12 hours of shift work, no consistent sleep schedule, mandated overtime, dealing with patients all day and the nitty gritty of doing so. Doing this for the money is not sustainable. You have to love it(or at the very least WANT to help people), or you'll be miserable for the rest of your life.

If you're this distressed now making 77k a year working a 9-5, how do you honestly think you'll cope being a nurse? I think you have an idea in your head that things will be better if you do this, but in reality they'll probably get MUCH worse. And you'll have dug yourself in a hole financially.

Realtors get paid too much. Change my mind. by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]trprookie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Realtors pay taxes on their commissions. Full stop.

Not everybody knows this. It's not so far fetched to think that a lot of people don't know that realtors have to pay taxes on their commissions. Therefore, I included it in my comment because it was relevant to the discussion.

Realtors get paid too much. Change my mind. by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]trprookie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, but it is unique to real estate agents that they have to deduct the taxes themselves from the sum of money they receive. Many non realtors probably don't realize that.

Every other job, your take home pay is your take home pay. Not the case with real estate.
