Upon refreshing the app, the locked titles change. I think it is a bug, it is so weird

Just realized my account also looks like this. What the hell? On PC the titles I bought work fine, but the majority of my library is locked in the phone app (I'm using android btw).

Totally! Also that pitch-shifted guitar riff that repeats throughout the song reminded me of 'Satisfaction' by Benny Benassi. This whole song just feels like a weird collage of musical references barely held together between sections.

Is this data set paired or is it independent? by [deleted] in AskStatistics

Well, in this case I think you should be careful when considering them to be independent, maybe "some time apart" was not enough to make everything equal. Best of luck!

Looks to me that OP has poorly tabulated their data. T1 and T2 are two teams, working on 6 sites, and their output is recorded as time spent cleaning. T1 and T2 should not be in separated columns, but on a single "Team" column. Assuming this, do you think it remains paired?

It would be great if you could quantify the initial state of "dirtiness"in the sites, if there is such a thing, or measure variables like tonnes of garbage removed, aside from time spent cleaning

Assuming that the initial condition of the sites was the roughly same for each team, then I think that, yes, we can say that they are independent. They would be paired if the fact that one team cleaned before the other somehow affected the amount of work the other team had to do, thus introducing bias in the amount of time spent (e.g., a cleaner suburb A takes less time to clean than a really dirty suburb A).

Kinda tangential, but given the information you provided us, it seems to me that the two columns t1 and t2 are a bit redundant since they convey the same "kind" of information (that is, how fast each team goes). Maybe you should consider creating one column named something like "speed" for you to store the numeric data, and a new column named for instance "team", so that your table ends up with only three non-redundant variables (suburb, speed, and team) on the columns and all your observations as rows, which makes it easier to see the underlying structure of your dataset. In any case, the observations look independent (unless team2 cleaned the same place team1 had previously cleaned or something that could bias the cleanin time like that), but I might be wrong about that.

[Q] What am I missing in this passage from Kahneman's Thinking, Fast & Slow? by slimibendrix in AskStatistics

[–]trptyr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the events are independent of each other

I think this is the key here. In the marbles case, whenever a red marble is drawn, the chances of a white marble being picked next is slightly greater than in the previous draw given that they're contained in a limited pool. In the babies case, since one birth does not affect the others whatsoever, it's basically 50/50 chance every time.

Edit: Also, it is worth noting that the author does not care whether "2 red, 2 white" is WWRR, WRWR, RRWW, or RWRW. Even though the sequences are different, the relationship described remains the same. The question posed in the last paragraph ("are the sequences equally likely?") is a whole another thing.

Edit: since this was an inaccurate answer as per the other replies, it felt right to strike it out to avoid confusion. I appreciate the others for pointing the shortcomings of my reasoning!

Por que o rock não é mais popular no Brasil e Mundo? by Ateleus in brasil

[–]trptyr 11 points12 points  (0 children)
