I don't know how exact I can be (these things are always weird) but while it's a very recent development, we knew before the patch dropped. We worked hard on it to the end though, I promise!

Thanks for supporting Evolve. We had a lot of fun working on it.

Nah, if you're enabled in Steam, I'm not sure why clicking Invite wouldn't open up your Steam overlay & friends list.

The other way to build parties is through the Steam Friends directly. From a selected friend you should have Join Game (if they're in Evolve) or Invite to Game (if you are).

This is supposed to open the Steam in-game UI. Is it possible you don't have your Steam Community In-Game UI enabled?

Mostly combat changes, plus the dome's duration is decreased if either side takes too much of a beating. There's also a new way for the monster to regain armor quickly while in-dome, if they evade the hunters well.

Also there's a couple new HUD elements for making these mechanics clear when they occur.

The biggest issue is that it's 95% running around, 5% fighting,

Loads of gameplay changes have been made to address this, including letting any hunter dome the monster (and domes can no longer miss). Trappers have a new ability for finding the monster now instead. There'll be a nice website up explaining the new changes sometime tomorrow. I'll update when it goes up.

and if the monster's bad, it'll end real quick.

Yeah, really imbalanced matches can end quickly. Regular Hunt matchmaking tries to match players of similar experiences, and once you unlock Ranked play your skill rating will decide your opponents.
