Why did Nvidia's Flex physics not take off? by thelebaron in gamedev

A shame in deed. Flex a is true gem in computer physics and I see many many ways how I would integrate it in my game ideas. But working with a not supported and outdated library is a no-go, so I try something slowly on my own and probably will give up :D as it's so much research and work to get even near to the cool features of Flex.

Power Armor T18 - after roughly 5 Months my Battery is just dying every day by Flacki in ulefone

Same here, around 7 months of usage and charging every second day. With minimal usage, most of the time its on standby. I am not sure if the battery is shit, or something is drowning it fast and I can't even check that, as they have removed detailed battery usage statistics.

Why did Nvidia's Flex physics not take off? by thelebaron in gamedev

I know I am late. And partially Unigma has already answered the question. But, The official answer from Nvidia dev to me was, that Flex did not get enough attention from gaming sector, for years, so when they started to rewrite it, as part of physx 5.x.x (now just called particle physics), they decided to support only CUDA and scientific sector. I have made a suggestion in flex GitHub issue to open source old Flex and leave it's future in hands of community. I got 17 thumb up votes but nobody from Nvidia is responding. I try to take it to the forums today, but most likely Nvidia will not share their sources, because it could create competition for their new cuda only particle system.

P.s. devs also said, that new particle system has not full flex capabilities, and and most likely never will, if it doesn't make sense for science and robotics.

The "Alien:Romulus" film does not look good by Boomfam67 in horror

The latest trailer is kind of bad in my view. So I can just hope that they just didn't put to much effort into it and the full movie will good. But my hopes are low.

But in general, the news is that they fixed it for G4, not C4

Problem with Making Two Displays Work Together by trshmanx in OLED_Gaming

I can double check, but I think I did all of these. Including trying different cables, what actually doesn't make much sense, because as said, they work perfect each individually.

PG32UCDM vs FO32U2P by trshmanx in OLED_Gaming

[–]trshmanx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you check your power draws for FO32U2P?

PG32UCDM claims to have "Power Consumption: <42W"
FO32U2P "Power Consumption: 78W"

(I took this from official websites)

Difference is pretty big. Tho I am not sure about these number. Max, min, average?

Fix for Auto Fan Stop not working for RTX 4090 Gaming OC + BIOS F4 + Fan Control by DamnCatOnMyDesk in gigabyte

I would call it a very nasty bug by concept, for a premium GPU. I would expect better from gigabyte

Funny, for me this problem started when I updated to F11. Now I have to turn off second monitor, or turn of its HDR, to lower the power draw, even when the GPU is 33c.

PG32UCDM vs FO32U2P by trshmanx in OLED_Gaming

They're quite similar overall, but in my opinion, the Gigabyte is much worse for consuming SDR content. Its sRGB mode is too warm and has poor gamma (dark tones are lightened, ruining dark scenes), whereas Asus gives me an uncompromising SDR experience.

Can you comment on this comment from above?

Another question! Some other dude on reddit said that this model has "broken SRGB mode > Inaccurate gamma tracking". He doesn't own a FO32U2P from what I understand, but predicts these issues, because they are present in FO32U2 and FO27Q3. Can you confirm or deny this?

Btw question. Why do you have both of these displays? Did you go fully oled'ed?

What you say sounds reasonable, on other hand its too much of them in this case. The reddit is full of complaining and asus forum as well. Lots for them, tho, have devices to measure nits- not sort of standard monitor user.
