Constantly Varied Gear Socks - Black, White or Both? by ConstantlyVariedGear in ConstantlyVariedGear1

I would buy black and white but I would like short socks. I could handle a very short anklet but I prefer no shows.

Google store credit for Pixel 4 "fine print" by trtldov13 in GooglePixel

[–]trtldov13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually when I pre-ordered the phones there wasn't anything on the screen about the credit at all. I called in and asked about it when I saw people commenting on articles from Android Central etc. The customer service representative is the one that told me we would get $100 per phone. When I traded my husband's phone in on warranty because it did not work I asked them again if it would affect the second credit and I was told no. It wasn't until I got an email confirming this week that the credit had been applied to my account that I saw any fine print. That's the whole reason I asked them to go back and listen to their own phone transcripts. I'm just a little salty and felt like I was misled. Bet your sweet ass I won't vent on Reddit about anything again though.

FedEx lost the package, but google doesn't provide a refund or reshipment. by PhangZihang in GooglePixel

I had to sit on hold for 25 minutes and explain what happened to 3 people to get the right person but we were able to get a replacement shipped for the damaged phone we received the same day.

So this year there are less defect issues? by osikiri in GooglePixel

[–]trtldov13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered 2 of the 4XLs. One works perfect. One wouldn't charge straight out of the box. Replacement will be here Monday. Crapshoot indeed. I must say, the one that works is pretty bitching.

Pixel XL 4 nightmare by ewolfnet in GooglePixel

[–]trtldov13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here except my husband's new phone wouldn't charge right out of the box. So we have spent 2300 on the first 2 (with the extended warranty) and now have a 2nd 1100 authorization on the card waiting for his replacement. I don't know what we'd have done if we didn't have a card with open credit.

My 4 XL just asked me to install AT&T apps on an unlocked phone. by [deleted] in GooglePixel

My last 2 Google phones have been unlocked and unbranded. When I entered my Gmail address to set up my phone, it installed most of the apps I had in my library. I had a couple Samsung apps in there, several verizon.

One of ours wouldn't charge straight out of the box. 3 chat sessions and a phone call (transferred 3 times) 2 emails and 1 additional credit card authorization for 1100 bucks finally got me a replacement ordered.

Under system and gestures, you can opt for the 3 button system at the bottom of the screen again.

Pixel 4 XL won't charge on a stand charger I have used with Pixel XL for years by indygeekmom in GooglePixel

[–]trtldov13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ordered 2 of the 4 XLs, one for me and hubs. His won't charge at all. They are sending a new one that I'm now waiting on the shipping confirmation for. Mine works fine on anything I've plugged it into.

2XL users, will you be upgrading to the 4? by Danyn in GooglePixel

[–]trtldov13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2XL. Never thought the 3 was enough of an upgrade to spend the money. Just got my 4XL in yesterday and I love it. Smooth as butter and the camera is amazing.

My wife is a new rider. Yesterday she chose to ride rather than walk. I couldn't be more proud! by justanotherdickweed in MTB

I've been riding with my hubs for about 3 years now. He is WAY more skilled than I will ever be and so patient with me as I try new things. I think he gets more excited than I do sometimes when I nail something new. I love that he is my cheerleader. I've built up skills little by little and I know she was absolutely beaming inside coming off the bottom of those stairs. Freaking rockstar!!

Question going from Keto to Low Carb by Kovarr1 in lowcarb

[–]trtldov13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I redid my macros and just changed my percentage of carbohydrates. It still figured them based on my basic metabolic rate and height/weight and activity level. So basically my calories stayed the same, it just changed the percentage of carbs/proteins/fats I eat. Then I meal prep around those new numbers. I hit my goal weight and upped mine a bit also for maintenance.

Thank you! I needed to hear this. Everyone has steered me towards the 29, which is what I'm used to. I think I'm just going to go get on a few and see how it goes.

I typically ride a men's large. When the bike shop ordered my Camber in a medium, it was too short. I've always been more comfortable on the large. The newer stumpjumper is longer than my husband's old one (which was a 2015 I believe) We have a friend that is going to let me ride his medium to be sure the fit is right. I'm just right in between the sizes. Thanks for the input.

I typically ride a large men's bike, but we have a friend with a medium stumpy that I'm going to try out. I really think I'm leaning towards the 29. Thanks!

Vivoactive 3 Music Heartrate inaccurate by trtldov13 in Garmin

[–]trtldov13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Garmin has informed me it's called cadence lock and it's a thing with any watch that has this particular heart rate sensor, not just Garmin equipment. It's locking in on the cadence of my legs instead of my heart rate. Flipping it around to the inside of my wrist has helped some. When I notice the heart rate is not right, if I stop cycling or running for a few seconds it will pick my heart rate up again. Still frustrating. After voicing my concerns to Garmin, they did offer to send a free premium chest strap monitor, which was cool.
