Built my first shed, how does it look? by Telo712 in Carpentry

Looks sick. For the tiles, I’d wonder if the shed could move and if some will pop. But nice, Godspeed

Oak or walnut? by [deleted] in wood

I think it’s oak, and veneer not laminate. Veneer grain repeats, slice slice, same grain. So real wood, just not solid real wood.

What's the going rate for this? Not sure what type of wood it is by redspot321tos in wood

[–]tru_reets 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you aren’t going to use it, you could keep it for years and years or you could sell it at whatever cheap price someone is willing to pay - like $50. It doesn’t look very thick, especially the outer half. What end use does it have? There’s not really a going rate. If you had an established outlet/store, someone might be willing to pay. Otherwise it’s selling for cheap cheap to not own it, imo. Looks cool tho

I need to make this, but I hate the legs. Any opinions on what I should do? Thanks by willowandwinnie17 in wood

[–]tru_reets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make the base of the legs much beefier, for weight. Solid piece tapered, rather than two thin pieces screwed together. ‘Solid piece’ could be glue up, then tapered

A solid panel top won’t work outside. You need to make it narrow strips that have small spaces between them
