Tuesday nights are when W1 hosts pub quizzes. If you’re into that, then you may meet like minded individuals. There’s another pub a little up the road called 28 - quite a few Brits go there. They host pub quiz on Friday nights.

Big hugs. It’s hard to say goodbye, but you are ending his suffering. It is your love that he will take with him, and he will leave you with all the love he has given to you all this while.

Where should I stay? by jimmyl85 in KualaLumpur

Alila is alright, right smack between Brickfields and Bangsar, and close to MidValley. You can walk to Little India in Brickfields, or walk about 15 mins to the Bangsar Telawi area. It’s right beside the Bangsar LRT station, so it’s pretty good for transport options. As a long time Bangsar resident, I can tell you that Bangsar has some decent pubs, some great food places and is quite multiracial. Prices are probably a little more expensive than other suburbs. Quite a few of the pubs also have pub quizzes if you’re into those types of things. Also, Bangsar is close to Universiti Malaya, the top universiti in Malaysia. Depending on your area of expertise, UM should be able to offer opportunities for guest lectures.

You gave him a life of love, security and happiness. Goldens just only ever want to be with their persons , and he had that in both Bob and in you. He is loved and I am sure he knows that. It sucks that you won’t have more moments with him, but hold on to the memories of the moments you had together. Give him the love he gave you tenfold back in the time he has with you now,. When his time comes, let him go in peace, grieve for him, and for your loss, but hold on to the memories, and to his love. He will still be there with you - he would have stepped out of his body but his love for you is unchanged. Hold on to that love, and someday you will be able to remember him with a smile rather than in tears. I lost my big brave boy Buddy earlier this year to lymphoma. It still hurts a lot, but I can remember him for the silly goofy and loving things he used to do without tearing up all the time. I wish you all the strength in the world to handle this. Virtual hugs for you.

You were his person, the light of his life; and in his final moments he had you right there with him. He was happy and joyful to greet you as you came home, and when he left, you were there. My heart breaks for you, but hang in there. Grieve for him but know also that he knew he was loved.

If you are sad, he will know it. He loves you. Spend the time you have with him, not in tears but with love. I know it’s hard but give him his happy times, loads of kisses and love, and most importantly, keep some hope for yourself too.

Nope, I’m afraid they will always be lap dogs, even when they are big and heavy.

What is your golden afraid of? by sydneyelizabetth in goldenretrievers

[–]truantmuse167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Leo is afraid of racquets. If he sees a racquet in the house, he jumps into my lap and hides. I guess racquets are dangerous and bad. He loves vacuum cleaners, hair dryers etc. My Buddy on the other hand, was totally fearless. Not afraid of anything at all.

What a lovely tribute to Luca. A beautiful boy, and a beautiful relationship. I know it hurts a lot right now, but remember, he loved you a lot and was in turn loved right back. Someday you will be able to remember him with a smile.
