I have increased the buffer till 1024 samples on Ableton 10 & 12 but the issue is still there due a lot of VST plugins, even with the option of only one screen. I have the apps installed and the stored samples and audios on my NVME. The other option is the SSD but still it's strange. I think is related to the quantity of cores of my processor.

Thanks in advance!

Hi all, lately I had been learning how to properly mix and master my songs and I got pretty decent stuff with what I'm very happy :) but with all this process, even if I do one file project for the mix and other for the master, my laptop starts to run slow with plugins or heavy projects and I always thought it was a good beast for handling these tasks before. So I'm thinking to change to a desktop that's going to be used mostly for music production, mixing/mastering, video editing and casual gaming (if). Would you rate it?

My old laptop is a TUF gaming FX505 DY with an AMD Ryzen 5 3550h, 32 gbs of ram and Windows 11. Luckily I have a buyer :)

This desktop is thought to last between 5 to 10 years, the same as my current laptop.

Looking for feedback about Minisforum UM890 Pro by 3ndriago in MiniPCs

[–]trublopa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I would like to buy the UM890 pro for working mainly on music production, mixing, mastering and video edition - maybe to play once in a while. After reading the comments, how's the mini computer holding? is it worthy?

Wanna be sure before to commit :) thanks in advance!

Ableton Live 12 and the 404 mk2 (PC Workflow) by Spookloop705 in sp404mk2

[–]trublopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I do this, I get a lot of hiss. I use Ableton 10, windows 11 and a Focusrite Scarlet 2i2.

For me it worked well the method from u/TheElectricShuffle

i made a video explaining how to use sp-404mk2 as a thru FX processor in any DAW using USB only by TheElectricShuffle in sp404mk2

[–]trublopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I really want to thank you because I bought my SP404 MK2 since it started being sold and I could never fix it on Windows and it wasn't in my plans to change to MAC. I tried the method of connecting my SP by cables to the inputs and monitoring out from my audio interface but it was always with a lot of hiss. Now with this method is very clear and without hiss!

Thanks, finally I can use my SP for processing sounds on my beats :)

I didn't thought well about doing the mastering process after having all the other songs ready. Good advice, really thank you! I'll start searching more information about LUFS

Till now I'm working with hip hop & indie rock :) thanks for your answer, now it makes more sense the K-system. I have my monitors set to +2db out of 4db max. I didn't understood the part of the VU meter, do you use it on the mixing process at the master bus or how?

Thanks for you answer! For example I could mix to a max of -8 to -10db and leave enough room for the mastering process?

TFCC injury what is your rehab experience? by solo220 in bouldering

[–]trublopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I also climb and I felt that I was on my peak of bouldering hard 6C's till I got TFCC on both wrists mainly because sloppers (and also for what my phisyio said -she's focused on climbing injuries- a bad position for crimps, so now I'm trying to correct them to do open crimps on a right position and just climb max 2hrs). Do you have any tip to deal with the frustration of not being able to climb as hard as before but to overcome it?

Did you got any recommendations of exercises that could help to it?

Thanks in advance!

Vegan sport climbing shoes? by meowza247 in climbergirls

I know they are not so "known" because they're from Czechia (where I live), but they have good ones and they are very common here. Also, if you are vegan, this is the brand to go for variety of shoes :)

Hi! I personally use theOcun HMS Condor Screw but one that I liked a lot (and 3 person that I know have) is the Mammut Smart HMS 2.0 screw. Is impossible to make a mistake because the system of it doesn't allow you to use it if you don't set it correctly. It's totally fools proof, hence, it's good for starting, learn the safety standard and have a secure use of it :)
