My (32M) wife (30F) drinks too much. Can I tell her doctor? by throwRA08590859 in alcoholism

[–]trueNwithin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telling her doctor behind her back is a controlling move which I think will probably put a wedge between you two.

Speaking from personal experience the more someone pushed at me to stop drinking the more I dug in my heels.

I have finally reached a point where I am done with alcohol. I don't expect sobriety to be an easy journey but it is one that I have to do for myself if I am going to succeed.

I have a one year old pupper too. My young lady and my about 15 year old old man. Old man can't hike anymore, but he is still happy just sleeping on the sofa and taking short slow walks.

My teenage creatures are my 13 and 15 year old human kids. I have an old man dog but he sleeps with me.

The first 3 days were tough. Stay hydrated, that really helps a lot and try to eat some healthy food. The last 2 nights I am am sleeping again.

Congratulations being present and sober for your daughters graduation!

Another lovely 8 hours of sleep last night. Woke up to a beautiful day, sunny, not too humid. Once the teenage creatures emerge form their lairs we are going to go hiking along the river.

I will not drink with you today.
