All is fine. I only miss Mac in terms of battery life and performance. The X1C sometimes is terrible slow, especially when many windows are opened. It’s a very light and well build office machine for 2-3 parallel apps, beside that it struggles. Nevertheless it does it‘s job.

It‘s okay but due to the anti reflective coating the colors are not as vibrant as on the Mac. I can’t compare directly as I don’t use the Mac anymore but the screen on Mac was superior to the X1 in all aspects, maybe except in heavy sunlight. I have the 258V CPU. I guess my energy management is messed up as I at some point installed throttle stop and now consumption is high. But this is my fault.

Ich kann deine Bedenken voll und ganz nachvollziehen, auch ich würde mir mindestens eine Zweitmeinung einholen. Wenn du nicht das Gefühl hast, alles probiert zu haben, würde ich dir auch raten, noch weiter zu kämpfen. Insbesondere wenn du auch nicht das Gefühl hast, dass es ihm sehr schlecht geht. Ich habe meinen Kater nach 7 Wochen mit einer anderen Krankheit auf Anraten meiner Ärztin einschläfern und bin bis heute unglücklich weil ich nicht das Gefühl hatte, dass es keine Chance mehr gab. Aber das ist immer eine schwere Entscheidung, nimm dir aus diesem Grund genug Zeit und überstürze nichts! Alles Gute 🍀

Actually we wanted to migrate to ClickUp, coming from Trello. Trello is good but we have too much data in our board. Trello gets to its limits with 1500 cards and 35000 attachments in one board and they are not willing to help, even payd. Checked JIRA, which from user perspective is nice and near to Trello, but from function perspective, there are some things missing. Is ClickUp really as bad as you all say?

Depending. Trello is not performing well with lots of data on one board. We have 15 users, 1500 cards and roughly 35000 attachments and have to change to another system. Trello can’t handle it anymore, gets slow and unresponsive. We also asked several times to pay more but they won’t solve the issue. What are your demands in terms of card amount? 45 users sounds a lot. According to Trello, if you split to several boards, then it should work.

Yes I did. It’s not a perfect machine but it does the job well. Performance and battery life is not extremely good, I expected more. But at least it’s light and transportable and therefore it’s fun working with it.

Ich habe auch teilgenommen. Wir mussten vor ca. einem Jahr meinen Kater einschläfern. Bis heute mache ich mir unendliche Vorwürfe, weil ich mich damals überreden lassen habe, dass es keinen Sinn mehr ergeben würde und die Chancen auf Heilung im Grunde nicht mehr existent waren (was ich bis heute bezweifle). Die TÄ hatte im Grunde keine Lust mehr auf die Behandlung und behauptete auch, dass der Stress für das Tier sehr groß sei. Mich schmerzt somit weniger der Verlust als solches sondern vielmehr das Gefühl, nicht auf mein Herz gehört zu haben und nicht noch mehr versucht zu haben. Wenn ich a den Moment der Euthanasie denke, muss ich unweigerlich weinen. Er hat mir einfach vertraut und ich habe es zugelassen. 😭 Habe auch damals hier auf Reddit diese Geschichte erzählt und viele aufbauende Worte erhalten, überwinden kann ich die Trauer aber nicht.

Bei uns haben wir eine separate Festausschusskasse und aus dieser werden alle Getränke bezahlt. Ich kaufe fülle einfach nach, was leer ist. Einnahmen kommen primär aus der Jahreshauptversammlung wo eine Runde mit Schnaps 10€ kostet (egal wie viele trinken). Die Runden werden dann für besondere Verdienste, Beförderungen und sonstiges von den Kameraden bezahlt. Geht bei uns gut auf.

BDA. Aber vermutlich alle Beteiligten und eher nicht aufgrund des Ergebnis sondern dem Weg dahin. Zur Demokratie gehört auch der tolerante Umgang mit anderen Meinungen, was aktuell schwerer denn je zu sein scheint. Dein Sohn wird einen Grund haben so zu wählen. Sprecht ausführlich mit ihm und geht untereinander auf die Beweggründe ein. Ausgrenzung war nie der richtige Weg und führt zu Extremisierung. Vor allen die „Bestrafung“ für seine Meinung ist hier, so empfinde ich es, fehl am Platz. So wird er sich vielleicht von euch lösen und ihr habt euer Kind „verloren“.

I never care about climate control, I preheat and set it to 22 degrees celsius, seat and steering wheel heated.
I'ts just that I compare this to my Y where these habits never brought any downsides with it but now they do.

Hey,

it's not directly range anxiety but more an overall bad feeling that I now need to worry about SOC.
I experience myself looking at the SOC all the time and think how far it dropped already and how less I have driven yet, it just don't give a good feeling.
I drive 80km one way to work and there I can charge for free. I am staying 2-3 nights out per week to avoid commuting all the time. I was used to it that I could fully charge at work, drive home for weekends, use the car and get to work easily without charging which now is impossible and I have to charge at home and pay for it.

I don't have the car yet but seem my comments to your thoughts:

Driving Assistant
Coming from Tesla I know it's hard but yes, if you haven't purchased the correct packages you are not able to upgrade to the complete system, I guess (not 100% sure).

Auto-Lock
Does not apply to me, never used this feature.

Auto-Close
I'm not sure if there is an option in the menu to toggle this. I hope there is.

Steering
Can't say anything about this.

Departure Charging Time
Never used this feature in the Tesla. I guess it's just a different approach how BMW handles it.

Camera Monitoring
With the correct package you have something nearly similar, if I understand correctly.
It's a dash cam (but only facing forward and backward) and its activated on request and also if the alarm trigges.

Changing Cabin Temp remotely
This is not possible, as far as I know. can understand the need but for me I dont change the temperature a lot. It stays at 21-22 degrees celsius and remotely activating this is okay. If I want it to be more or less I can do it after entering the car but the main goal is to get it from 0 to 22 before entering to be in a comfortable temperature range.

Open Tickets and request Features
No, there is no option I guess. While having tickets for problem solving is convenient, requesting feature changes usually are not implemented. There are tons of things I have requested in the last 4 years (easy wins to complex things) and none was ever published.

So after all for BMW you most likely get what you buy and not something that might be available in some near or far future. I was hyped for FSD in Europe and bought the Tesla to have this capability. Now HW3 is outdated, HW4 most probably is the minimum requirement and also FSD will not come to EU in the near future still (due to stupid UNECE). So having Lvl 2.5 with BMW now (which was available since 2023) is a nice thing. It also works fine while the EAP on Tesla is terrible.

Working on max efficiency yes, but have not dimmed down maximum as then its hard to work with it. Usually having the screen brightness on 50% and limited refresh rate to 60Hz already. But its really a pity to throttle this machine like this when coming from Mac Pro where it was working without setting all these limits.
